im sketching something rn (on and off) (drawing w adhd and very weak self-discipline is so hard i Need to get better at this) but the IDEA is, um, basically just like the guardian or ancient soldier gear, but in gun shape, and with royal guard weapon-levels of durability (aka, like, bokoblin weapon durability, aka Weak Sauce). they DO fire lasers because it's essentially taking the guardian/guardian scout tech, compacting it, and reducing the power output so that a hylian person can reasonably wield it without getting knocked off their ass, but it's a combination of Special Ammo (something to Be The Laser, Kinda) (think of the guardian arrows) and Mana/Magic, because ravio in ALBW had magic and therefore all ravios have active magic.
the most powerful guardian/ancient soldier gun weapons require a massive chunk of mana to fire, and in my concept ravio's mana is also tied to his stamina (sta-mana), so if ravio were to enter a state similar to link's bullet time (unsure if he'd have this), he'd have a very brief window of time within which to fire his gun or else he is going to have No mana left to break his fall.

so obviously because this is the LORULE version, things are in opposite colors. because that's the theme, and whatever. AND THEY FIRE LASERS. MADE OF MAGIC. AND AMMO. LOOK OUT HE'S GOT A LASERGUN
anyway there are probably regular guns too, with higher durability, but they're about as common as sheikah guns, and they require a brief "reload" time because i'm operating under the assumption that these guns are the gunpowder-stuffed firing chambers with balls of lead, which means he needs a second to reload it before he can fire again. it'd probably be at least a solid two seconds longer than the reload time for a bow And Not Much Longer Than That (for the sake of game mechanics/playability)

hi, u do realize that making ur image description text rly small is the exact opposite of what vision impaired ppl need? or any of ur text really small, for that matter. not everyone with vision impairment uses screen readers. if ur gonna make something accessible to low vision and blind people, perhaps consider the ramifications of making image description text—which exists for. low vision and blind people—tiny.

im trying to make myself draw more again because i’ve been playing so much botw that i haven’t drawn anything for semi-realsies since, like. uh. for a minute.

millie and link hung out the most before he had to leave :] he has a stomach of steel because, in his efforts to encourage millie to learn to cook, he ended up eating a lot of outdoorsy cuisine made by an eager three-to-four-year-old. most of this was mud and leaf litter and, like, uncooked bugs. also a lot of rocks. the third time he got sick from it, miria implored him to stop eating millie’s food with some mild desperation, but link never listened.

uve come to the right place, nonnie. also the only place for my botw link sister lore. because these are... we get the point. let's get into it. buckle in, i ramble a lot lol
miria, eldest, is a bit of a second mom. their mother did her best but was often out of the house, so miria grew up taking over the brunt of the care for lonnie and link. she worked hard for them and even started lonnie's training with a sword and spear, and she was responsible for a lot of the cooking so she ended up teaching both of them how to make food. lonnie never had much interest in it, but link took to it like a fish to water.

(sidenote: gender hcs! millie is a little young to be sure but she’s probably nb, and lonnie is also nb, but i have headcanons about hylian society wrt gender that makes “nonbinary” identities, like... not null? but they don’t have quite the same application of gender that we do. link is a boy unless he’s a girl, and lonnie is a girl unless she’s a boy, and millie is a little kid who plays in dirt. y’know? yeah)
lonnie is a bit more openly vivacious and maybe aggressive? all of them know how to use various weapons—mostly swords—but lonnie enjoys training whereas miria never had much of an interest in it. she had to pester miria to spar with her a lot. lonnie has a preference for spears and halberds over swords. she wanted to be a royal guard like her father, but she's hard of hearing—the whole family knows sign language as a result—and although logically that shouldn't be much of a detriment, it still ultimately prevented her from joining because woo ableism! she does farmwork instead, and decided that she prefers it because it feels more productive, though she's secretly pretty disappointed that she was barred entry.
when link came along and seemed to enjoy learning swordsmanship at least as much as lonnie did, it was a relief for miria because she didn't need to humor lonnie's frequent desires to spar when link so clearly enjoyed it.
lonnie and miria are actually pretty close despite the six year gap between them, and they only kinda began drifting after link came along and sucked up a lot of time from the both of them. the drift didn't hold out for a very long time, though, because eight years after link came millie, and the pregnancy and birth were both pretty hard on their mother so the two of them teamed up to care for link, millie, and mom.
millie was maybe five when link left for hyrule castle and he might not have had a chance to visit them before the calamity struck, so he never got to see her grow up much, but even when she was five she had a pretty big personality. she loved being outside and she and link would go scrounging through the nearby woods frequently; she was very interested in learning how to use a bow, and link fully intended to teach her and absolutely would have if, y'know, things didn't turn out the way they did.
after link left, millie had dreams of joining her father and link in the royal guard. she grew attached to lonnie as a result of link's absence, though she never became quite as close with lonnie as she had been with link.
lonnie used to write letters to link, updating him on the family going-ons and whatnot. most of those letters are lost to time, but a few of them are tucked away in a book in zelda's room.

botw link’s sisters! i decided to add a little sister because link has lil bro vibes AND big bro vibes. all around bro vibes. miria is six years older than lonnie, who is three years older than link, who is... eight? years older than millie. link’s age in relation to millie is still up in the air, but yeah.
link used to follow lonnie around like a baby duck and they’re best friends. lonnie would get into mischief and then pin the blame on link, who usually kind of just... accepted it. miria definitely has Eldest Sister syndrome and grew up too fast and can be a bit no-nonsense and stern sometimes, but she loves her siblings so much. they both baby link a little bit because he was their baby bro for eight years, and they baby millie a LOT. link adores millie and spent soooo much time just playing with her before he had to fuck off to hyrule castle thanks to, like, being the hero of destiny and finding the master sword and all that.
