I did a quick search and the shop that “made” these, https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/95zrust 95zrust is doing this with all of its listings. The listings for these Sofia the first plush dolls have been taken down, likely due to a copyright strike, but I say that's for the better because they were never real in the first place. This shop has only been on Etsy for the past nine months there is no way it could have this many individual listings of so many unique and culturally relevant cartoon characters, no one artist or even a small team of artists could make that many different crochet dolls in such a short amount of time. It AI generates a photo of a character as a “crochet” doll, puts it on a shop listing and then when a customer orders it they get someone to make that doll which clearly looks different than the listing did because the listing was impossible to make because it was made by a Data centre.

Also they're being shipped from Vietnam at weirdly low prices for how large they look in the reviews, and the dolls they ship out look like they were made by different individuals, I'm pretty sure this is some kind of sweatshop. There are a lot of shops on Etsy like this you have to be careful.

Even if you think the dolls they sent to the customer look cute do not buy from this shop because I believe it is using sweatshop labour to make these.

If you want a Sofia the first crochet doll of one of the actual characters, look for an actual crochet artist who only posts real photos of a real crochets they've done in real life, and then message them on at Etsy asking if they could do a custom Commission, artists love getting commissions. Yeah you're going to have to pay more than 50 US dollars for it but you'll be supporting an artist who is real and not using underpaid labour and AI theft.
