“I.. didn’t know what to do either. I think one of Magneto’s men found out.. snuck in or something. They screwed up my focus and I ended up stranded. I don’t ever want to end up back there..”

The closer she got, the more she recognized the screams. Her eyes widened and she hurried to the door, trying to unlock it. Once she did, she gave it a solid tug forward to open it.

“Kurt! Kurt, are you okay?” She asked, wide-eyed and worried. “How’d you end up in here?”

“Of course I mean it,” She replied. “You know I’d never joke about something like this..” Her voice quieted a little, and she dipped her head a moment.

“.. That’s.. that’s why I never said anything either. Y.. you’re my best friend. I didn’t want to lose that- I didn’t want to lose you..” She swallowed thickly, but her smile soon returned. “But.. I guess now neither of us need to worry about that, right?”
