Critical Role Campaign 2 Spoilers

Thinking about Himmelsschloss again, as an in-universe fairy tale that Caleb was told growing up.... obviously it's a dramatisation of the events or ExU Calamity but I really like how it's not a one-to-one comparison. There are certain really specific details (the kites, the parade, the knight being the bringer of the darkness, a blight spell causing the tree to split open, etc.) but some things that are not historically accurate to how Avalir was (the king and queen with the tree in their throne room, the knowledge being contained in a broken twig from the tree), and I think that's a really fun and interesting depiction of how the events of ExU Calamity would be mythologised after the Divergence and in later periods of Exandrian history. It's also interesting and fitting that this is specifically a Zemnian fairy tale, given that the Zemni Fields began as the debris field from the destruction of Zemniaz, another one of the flying cities! Zemnian culture would have grown up over centuries with chunks of crumbling Age of Arcanum ruins around, so of course a story like that would thrive there! Anyway I love it
