Electric Fields: Coulomb's Law
Coulomb's law can be used to calculate the force of repulsion or attraction (remember force is a vector quantity) acting between two point charges.
Coulombs law states that the force F between two charged points equals (Qq)/(4πε0r^2) Where Q=magnitude of one charge, q=magnitude of the other charge, ε0=8.85x10^-12 (permittivity of free space) and r=the distance between the two charges.
