One of my favorite things from the 9th doctor's season was all the hand holding. Never felt like anything that was a big deal, never showy, never tension filled. From when it seemed more platonic to even more in a love setting, it felt wholesome and sweet. A lot of people say 9 was grumpy but I feel he was just a bit more serious, after rewatching the season he is so incredibly physically affectionate. Hand holding, forehead kisses, hugs, all of it so pure and kind.

Love that Shane and Ilya are so insane for each other that it basically invokes the Forced Proximity trope from 500 miles away. Being in the same conference is too close for these fools.
