I love the song “My Once Upon a Time” from Descendants 3, however I think the “This is not your father’s fairytale/And it’s not your mother’s fault you fail” lyrics should be switched. Firstly, Mal’s mother is Maleficent, who is based on the thirteenth fairy in the Sleeping Beauty fairytale, and the main conflict in the movie is that Audrey, Sleeping Beauty’s daughter, stole her Maleficent’s scepter and uses the sleeping curse Maleficent used on Aurora, making the situation very similar to her mother’s fairytale. Secondly, Mal’s dad is Hades, who is based on the Greek god and not a fairytale character, making the lyric “This is not your father’s fairytale” odd, since there is no fairytale where Hades is a character in it. Also, in the movie she made the decision that the Isle of the Lost should be closed off permanently because he nearly escaped. Then, when friends found out about that, Celia destroys the thing that they were going to use to defeat Audrey and then her friends leave her and get turned into stone, meaning she failed at keeping her friends safe and defeating Audrey; while that whole thing was partially Hades’ fault, she was the one who ultimately made the decision. So it isn’t her father’s fault she failed, it’s hers. So, it would be more meaningful if the lyrics were “This is not your mother’s fairytale/And it’s not your father’s fault you fail”.

I just got the book Not Dead Yet by Holly Jackson and it doesn’t fit on the same shelf as my other Holly Jackson books! And my bookshelf is alphabetical by the author’s last name so I can’t just move it to another spot! There’s a system!!! Why tf aren’t all books the same size? Who decided that different books should be different sizes??? What is wrong with that person???

Was just at half priced books and I found 3 Ever After High books, 1 Monster High book, 3 Descendants books, the 3 original Hunger Games books, a Percy Jackson book, Journal 3, and some other gay books. So I think it was a good trip.

You know how in Good Omens season one the first scene is Aziraphale sheltering Crowley from the rain and they parallel it in season two by having Crowley shield Aziraphale from the meteor shower? What if season three starts with Crowley, maybe sitting on their bench at St. James park, and it starts to rain on him? And he’s all alone and has no one to shield him from the rain because his Angel left him for heaven.
