Question for anyone in the Percy Jackson book fandom, Am I the only one wondering if hermes's kids have a higher metabolism than other demigods? Kind of like the flash? Where it's like the more they use any speed related powers they got from their dad, the more exhausted, tired, and hungry they're going to be later on? Or is it just me?

Hi, so I wouldn't know because I haven't actually finished the Kyoshi novels yet, I started listening to audio of the first one but then life got busy for me so I haven't actually finished announced myself, I just know a lot of spoilers for it. But I don't know the nitty gritty details. My best guess is that she feels guilty since from what I saw at the beginning of the novel they were very close. Yeah, but sorry for not answering your question the way π

I like the personality in the designs of the bethrothal necklaces we see. Just from a visual standpoint, they're neat.
Yue's is very clearly a visualization of that pond with Tui and La circling each other. (It honestly makes me think Hahn didn't make it himself, because he doesn't seem interested enough in Yue as a person to draw on that connection?)
Kanna's is this depiction of the rolling waves of the ocean curling back? (Because Pakku saw her as a free spirit? As an embodiment of the deep, sprawling, uncontainable ocean itself? idk)
Bolin's is. A skull. (Because... well I don't think need to analyze this too deeply, Eska is Eska)
Kya II's necklace does have a similar build to the one Eska gave Bolin, so I can see where the theory that it is a betrothal necklace too comes from. I wonder what the teal crescent moon represents in whoever made it for her.
I just really, really wish we got the see the betrothal necklace that Kuruk gave to Ummi. Has it really never been shown or am I tripping?

So I don't think it's actually ever been confirmed but my personal little headcanon is that it was a snowflake design. This is just because I headcanon that Ummi is from some mountainous region of the Southern water tribe, that frequently got visited by Airbenders, Even having mixed families of air nation and water tribe, snow flakes being A common symbol due to the fact that snowflakes fall from the sky.
Also another reason why headcanon this is because I think of Ummi being an artist so she used water bending too create different shapes of snowflakes, just bigger for the human eye.

Headcanon: When Koh stole Ummi's face and Kuruk started looking for him to save her. The rest of the spirits were staring at Koh like:
"WHY?! Why would you steal the spirit killer / Spirit bane's Wife?! On their wedding day! He's going to come in here and kill us all! Did you not see what he did to father glowworm?!"
Meanwhile Kuruk is all like:

Kuruk Weekend day 2 Dreams and Nightmares
A Avatar the Last Airbender fanfiction for @kuruk-weekend event Kuruk Weekend day 2 Dreams and Nightmares and set in the Kuruk lives AU.
Kuruk find himself in a dark hallway with mist right up his feet and he cannot help but feel something wrong as he run down the hallway and he see his beloved wife with her back turn to him and Kuruk cry out, "Ummi!" and she turn, only to show that her face is a blank and he scream in horror.
Kuruk wake up with sweats on his body before he is remind that he is in his home while a baby cry and Ummi, still have her face, said to the baby, "There, there. It is okay, little one." Kuruk don't understand why he keep having the same terrible nightmare of Ummi not having her face while his wife comfort him, "Kuruk, we are alright. We are here for you. I'm here for you." and Kuruk said to her, "Thank you, Ummi. You by my side have made me a better man. I would be lost without you." and Ummi said, "Don't joke on something like that. We have to rest." before the couple goes back to sleep.

But I am specifically thinking of Kuruk and Kyoshi blaming themselves for the death of Ummi and Kelsang, and not doing more to stop it even though it really wasn't their fault. They forever blame themselves even after they pass on themselves.
"Name your courage now We could have had anything, anything else Instead, you hoarded all that's left of me"-Roku, as he viewed as a brother, Sozin, betrayed him left him to die and then went on to commit horrible actions of war and terrorism. And then wondering how things might have been different if he had just ended Sozin. Then maybe Ta min wouldn't have been a widower. In fact have him also blame himself for the death of Gyatso.
Finally "Swallowin' your doubt
Like swords to the pit of my belly
I want to feel the fire that you kept from me"- Korra feeling like she not only failed as the avatar but that she failed to live up to Aang's Legacy.
