Music for the Soul (Closed- Noctis)
luciianoirâ:
â âš NOCT had heard the sound of music playing and was drawn to it, simply because it was something different. He didnât have a musical ear, really: his talents laid in other disciplines. He rarely got to control the radio when they all were driving, and he mostly liked to listen to what Prompto liked to listen to. Itâs not that he didnât have a taste in music, he just wasnât particular.
Regardless of his Insomnian preferences, he had heard the strange instrument and had to get a closer look. He didnât think he was being obvious but that didnât seem to stop the musician from addressing him.
âHuh..?â Noct asked, a little thrown off by his words. The pun was completely lost on him, the instrument too foreign. Instead of questioning his word choice he furrowed his brows and took a step forward towards the other, motioning to the accordion in his hands.
âWhat is that?â he asked, pointing with his foam sword. âThey donât have those kinds of instruments from where Iâm from.â Â
Ah dear, dear - his joke had fallen on deaf ears entirely, but Justin had seen enough reactions like that to his jokes in his life already to be down about it: goodness knows heâd see a lot more in future - peopleâs senses of humour were all different and not everyone liked puns, and that was fine and dandy. At very least, the music had clearly been enjoyable even if the joke was lost, given it had drawn the stranger close to begin with. Well, him explaining what this instrument WAS would probably would give understanding to his pun! âIt is....an accordion. Itâs a little hand-operated instrument which makes music via bellows and presses of the buttons, see?â He played a little more in order to show the stranger how it worked, but paitently waited for him to get the bad joke from before, soft little chuckles emitting as he waited for the punch-line to hit the other. Ohoho, would he be surprised by the joke? What would happen now? He was certainly a-tune to excitement!
