Now that there won't be anymore cons or Q&As or anything, they don't have to give lip service to us. Now it's all kissing the Duffers' asses and mocking fans who were disappointed.

Let's be honest. These people were done with the show a long time ago. Well, it's probably more accurate to say they've been done with us, the fans. Byler, in particular, has apparently been a huge joke behind the scenes for a while. We just didn't get to hear their real thoughts on it until right before the show ended.

Someone sent me a rather condescending Ask recently asking if I'd ever let go of my anger and move on.

Probably not.

It'll likely simmer down over time, but it's always going to be there. And I have no intentions of doing anything about that. This was a rather personal thing for me, and what will especially make it hard for me is that I'll never get any closure on it because I'll never be able to confront the Duffers over it. I'm beneath their notice, nothing more than noise.

But I'll say this: expect to see plenty more content based in the 80s. Creators now see that they can write gay storylines that drag on without actually going anywhere because it's realistic for the time, but it will still win them awards for inclusion. That's how fucking low the bar is. I swear, actual shows made in the 80s did better.

Meanwhile, the cast continues to go on about nothing, completely missing the point of why and how conformitygate came to be, and acting confused that people would be disappointed.

this is not how fictional media works. you don't do a 'crush filter' moment for people who are only friends. it is purposely used to show romantic connection and/or romantic feelings towards someone (or a realisation moment).

rules of film. i have never studied film or tv, that's not my forte. it is the duffer's, yet i truly believe they have no idea what they are doing.
