"shared looks" was publicly associated with byler. they can say what they want but mike sent will signals and that is a fact backed up by the logic the show literally told us to abide by. they might as well have broken the fourth wall. we see no signals with anybody else.

saying the scene means nothing or is supposed to allude to something that happens off screen after the story is over doesn't make sense when you rememver they gave us a checklist for the audience to look for. the scene is in the show so it has to be referencing something also in the show.

we can't use a checklist for carlton. carlton is not even real. mike literally made him up. he's invented whole-cloth based on himself. just like he made up the void thing. they're fictional. literally not real within the show. that is sooo bizarre to do.

sure shows sometimes do the speculated future thing but it's not like this is new girl where the characters are imagining their kids playing together in the last episode because that is very clearly going to happen and it's a sitcom. this is just wayyy different
