Prompt #2410
âWatch out, with a fashion sense like that I might just end up falling in love with you.â
âThis is an excellent team-up. Really, off to a great start. Itâs not like I mock your outfit choices.â
Blackout blinked. âNo, that was a self-burn. Like yeah, Iâm kinda surprised you have two supersuits that are exactly the same except for the color palette and the fact that this one glows, but it was- that was about me. Mocking my tendency to fall for chicks in tights, right?â
âItâs a jumpsuit.â Limelight doesnât look away from the building theyâre scoping out, and really, genuinely, Blackout hadnât been making fun of her suit, but the fact that her night-mode was just a grey and green version of her daytime white and yellow was shocking.Â
âNo, like- like superhero tights? Itâs a saying.â
âI know.â
âThis is an excellent team-up. Really, off to a great start.â
That makes Limelight smile, just a bit of a smirk that Blackout can barely see since sheâs still checking the place out, and come on. Theyâve put aside nemeses-ship for the sake of a common enemy, she can stop pretending she isnât amused by Blackoutâs incredible wit.Â
Unfortunately, Limelight has apparently decided that âcovert operationâ translates to âno conversationâ, so itâs up to Blackout to save the day, as usual.
âWhy does this one glow by the way. Not trying to dunk on your cyberpunk vibe or anything, but this is an undercover mission and the neon-sign stripes are... kinda... not that.â
âIâll turn it off when we get closer.â
âIt turns off? It literally only glows for the aesthetic, doesnât it? Of course it does, given this and your purity-white day look Iâm surprised you took the hit to get them made in Kevlar and not something shinier.â
âUnfortunately, not everyone can wear full latex catsuits.â
âYouâve literally just described my dream universe.â
Limelight strangles what couldâve been a snicker in a less cursed timeline. âShut up. And get down, patrol at two oâclock.â

This prompt felt very Blackout, and Iâm glad I finally got to see how fun it is to write from her perspective!
