Thought I'd post a lil more loop since I have no ideas to draw them with for saviors of stars. I redrew the loop "talk about how much fun you're having with other people" sprite since I've been seeing that on my feed.

To me this loop is pretty much isat loop but pokemon, that's my vide for the entire game as well. I can see a little more resentment towards Siffrin though, truly pissed that they were forced to evolve and help a "lesser" pokemon out of the loop.

I also haven't drawn them because I'm not attached to them in many ways, yes they are a very tragic character, other than that I can relate to them much. (Also it kinda peeves me that almost every post cannon I've read brings them back in the first few chapters. I find it more interesting if they went off and joined the universe but there is more than one option for there character)

I might not post again this week (we'll see) I got caught up in another AU of mine so maybe expect to see that soon...

Also, does anyone have any good tips for prepositions? I'm a lil lazy, and also expect most of the videos to say things like "this part is this sized compared to this" but that never seems to work for me.

Thought I would do a lil redraw to get back into the spirit for this au. Also, I swear I have heard a million names for this event. Tutorial event and sadness events are both names I've heard (I swear there's another popular one I just can think rn).

Long ago, a bandit king known as The Oni used Body Crafting to make himself and his cronies into monsters. They terrorize and plunder Ka Bue for years, but are eventually slain and Body Crafting is outlawed to prevent something similar from happening again

However, that all happened a few centuries ago. Can see the modern Ka Bue's reasoning for keeping Body Crafting illegal having changed over time to become something reflective of our world, Odile referring to this as "anyone who has read a history book would know the ACTUAL reason it was outlawed was that it was a greedy bastard who somehow ruined it for everyone else for the next 300 years after he died"

Hmmmm, I always thought of the ban as more of a systemic product. Something put into law because of fear and preexisting belief rather than one event.

I could see something like this told to kids to scare them into not using body craft, something like "You don't want to body craft or else you'll end up corrupted and driven mad, eventually becoming part of The Oni's army." Old wives tales like that. Drilled into a Ka Bueians when they were kids.

The Expressions are one interesting bunch. Odile says there are a few thousand. to me that seems like a large amount of deities to keep track of and monitor. Are they also considered "sentient" like change? Like what if an Expression gets jealous of the attention another gets and they start to fight? Would jealousy itself be an expression? What constitutes an Expression and what are they?

I feel like I have a good explanation for this. Now quick warning, a lot of this will be head cannon and speculation, if you feel I have missed a point please feel free to send an ask or message me (keep it kind please). Alright on to the topic at hand.

So to get this out of the way, Expressions are not "Deities" in a traditional sense. They do not have forms that they could present themselves with. I feel an Expression is a way to sculpt one's emotions to a way of thinking, for example, someone prays to the Expression of learning. this in turn makes ones mind more welcoming of new information, have more pleasure in learning, and gives the person a drive to learn. This doesn't mean the person couldn't learn without it, but with more it would help build habits and shoot for that goal. Like directing a river.

But what would the Ka Bueians worship, you might ask (I'm not assuming or anything). Well they'd worship communal Expressions, things a community or gathering of people might want to band together and do. One town worships the Expression of cleanliness, making them feel the need for the area to stay clean. These communal Expressions would be everywhere in Ka Bue, as communities grew they would start to make Avatars for their specific Expression(s), these would often include the emotion it was conveying or the "expression" it had.

There is also a specific way to gain the prospects of an Expression. It would be by using Gemstones as conduits. all work the same, but different types represent how strong the will is. Quartz and all its variants are the baseline gems, showing dedication to the expression it's for. Rarer gems state how detected you are, sapphire are often seen as the highest devotion, meaning the persons entire life is bent to the concept of the Expression. Though gems aren't very expensive in Ka Bue as it is seen as bad faith to sell a sapphire for more than an amethyst. The gems are often worn in many ways depending on the person (they don't have to be worn but it's common practice).

Expressions themselves are not beings, they're more a persons or communities willpower towards a goal, this gives people strength, endurance or little gestures they need to reach that goal. Anything could be an Expression if you guide yourself accordingly. It's only the named ones, the ones with community made avatars, that are really counted as "Expression".
