But that probably explains why the old stories have a talisman with the Absol drawn on it, instead of an Absol itself."

"Having an Absol talisman was said to help keep away disaster, as well as spirits- so maybe at one point someone knew Absol was a dark type? I don't know for sure, but that's why stories are so wonderful~ We can at least say that someone was saved by an Absol's warning; and in their gratitude, that someone told other people about Absol protecting them. And though the story changed, that memory was carried on."
