It was a very gentle looking snare spell, to be fair, the hook in the bait not barbed, as it were. The offering was the blood of a virgin, in a ruby and diamond encrusted goblet.
Willingly given.

Demons aren't usually summoned unless they are powerful overlords, princes, or ancient concepts given forms; but that's not to say your run of the mill demon can't be summoned, its just... Harder to figure out how.
The oldest powers that be have their sigils well known and practiced by now, written down in some unholy text for others to find. Sinners who are too weak or don't have power or worth to give are usually ignored since their sigils aren't common knowledge.
But setting up a generalized trap is far easier than finding a sigil anyway. You just have to be willing to deal with whatever you catch.
As it stands, Cronus will get a bite far faster than he might expect.
Though, from the shimmering of those scales one might assume he caught a seamaid instead of a demon.
