Hello. I'm always surprised when I glance at this blog's analytics and see it still gets visitors. Thanks! Taking photos of myself became uninteresting. Don't know if I'll pick it up again. I definitely still shop resale and find some awesome items. Just last week I thrifted a ridiculous vintage cotton jumpsuit for $2.99. live shop shot. It's weak, I guess I understand the hate. ;) I'm really glad I got it. There will be ample opportunity to wear it this summer. Inaugural wear was to the symphony for a "Tom Petty" show. What a trip the night was. A guy I hadn't seen in years posted on Facebook that he had an extra ticket. I'm bored of typical gatherings at the moment, so the random "adult" activity appealed. He was given the tix and they were good - center floor.

Let me back up...I'm wearing the silk romper, my buddy is a tall, big guy with Jesus hair. We did not blend in with the crowd.

So! The concert. One would expect orchestral versions of Tom Petty. But, no. Instead it was a crappy Tom Petty cover band (dude who looked and sang like Petty with band playing perfect renditions of the hits) backed by the orchestra. Which would be nice, except we couldn't hear the orchestra! What a waste. Like, why have a lead guitarist and keys when you have a FREAKING PRO ORCHESTRA to play around with the arrangement + performance. Intermission lead to getting in trouble for sneaking into seats where we figured we might be able to hear the orchestra. Which led to management who ended up seating us in the coolest fucking seats in the house. The fancy cushioned couch seats behind the stage, facing out to the entire hall (scroll back up to see reverse of area).

We literally led the whole place in a swave during Free Falling. The conductor giggled and smiled at us. People came up to us after outside. Such a fun rush. The silk romper went quite well with this adventure. What a fun night.

'Twas half off at Buffalo Exchange. A good, easy item. I like how it has textured stripes that do a cross cross thing in front but are uniform in back.

Did a quick thrift trip today. Planned to live shop, but didn't find much and what I tried was meh. I always pull some vintage sequins for sport, though. This one was a beauty.

No new items, but I liked this outfit. Comfy poppin' pink. The tank I made from a thrifted tee. Open back drapey top.

(Gosh, can't remember if this was resale or purchased at Urban on sale or somethin') Two tone velvety leggings. I know, leggings as pants. DEAL WITH IT. ;)

I've been putting this one on a lot. It's an easy dress. Lightweight terry cloth. Vintage union made in the USA. Simple but has some subtle cool details.

Annnnnnd was $2. Dizzam.

Nice and breezy.

Didn't realize until I was in the sun that the dots aren't straight black but have a dot of blue in them!

Cool.

Oh boy! What an amazing live shop I had today. Sooooo much good. Was hard to choose. But the outcome was orgasmic. Hop over to the FB to see what I mean. Why is this so addictive?!

This was in a live shop recently. I guess most things will be from now on because I have so much freakin' fun doing the live shop feeds. $9.50 at Buffalo Exchange. I'm sure I traded some stuff, so didn't cost me that much direct. The top is creme. Love the thick band cuffs and hem.

Wearing with a tank under. Will be cool in the summer with a skirt and bandeau when the HEAT comes. Got a hint of that today with 85 degrees.

Also, I think I am succeeding with the bang grow out. It usually doesn't take.

Hi Tricksters! I have been working for weeks on a new website for my plant-based food project, Dallas Frugal Foodie, and just launched the site!! Exciting. I'm thrilled with it and wanted to share with you guys.

Came home to a fern on my porch this evening. So sweet. Thanks, Mom! Did a quickie live shop at Buffalo yesterday for something to wear on camera today. I wanted color and sleeves and did not have that in my closet. With a $5 coupon, I chose this Zara top for $21 $16. Looked great on camera, was comfortable and it's cool.

This is what I look like when I'm happy. (and my boobs are squeezed together) The sleeves of this thing were the big seller.

I mean, seriously.

Today was the most fun live shop, so far! Feedback was really helpful. I had a time limit, budget limit and much indecision. Check out what happened over on the FB.

The dress from the last Buffalo shop! Late 80s / early 90's vintage as Sandra informed me on Facebook. I deboned the top. It had three plastic rods that didn't offer much in the way of bodice shape-keeping and scrunched up & pinched me when I sat down. Ripped those suckers out with a seam ripper. They were sewn in, so took a minute, but once I figured out where they were stitched, it was quick.
