carter had mixed feelings about being back at rvu , her time there wasn’t bad or anything it was just the thought of being around some people that she hadn’t seen in years. she felt a sense of relief hit her when she saw a familiar figure just in front of her , her hand reached out to tap his shoulder. “don’t be surprised toph, you knew i was coming.” she said smiling.

as soon as he sees who it is, toph pulls the woman in for a big hug. “carter, it’s so good to see you. how are you? how’re the kids back at school? been meaning to stop in to visit.” the brunet subconsciously tucks a strand of her hair behind her ear. “any song writing happenin’ lately? you know anytime you’d like to write again, you call me. album #3 could definitely use another more recent carter/christopher original.”

4] A thing you accomplished today?

“i ate a sandwich, even though i didn’t really feel like eating,” the man shrugs.

topher thinks this over for a minute. “ ‘sorry’ ,” he answers slowly, lifting his gaze up. “it has the power to mend relationships, doesn’t it?”

9] Favourite fruit?

“i’m a fan of bananas and mangoes.” 

10] If you could grant one wish to another person, who would that be?

“to give them three more wishes,” toph states with a chuckle. it was the easy way of getting out of answering the question.

11] One thing you like about your physical appearance?

his heart quite literally stilled at the sight of those dimples, god those dimples that still managed to hypnotize him. “toph…hi.” hugo was still as awkward as ever, probably gotten UGLIER with age but christopher…was still stunning and successful. unable to help himself, he leans forward and pulls his ex in for a hug, “you uh…look amazing. how are you?”

a wide smile grows across his face as soon as he sees hugo. “ginger, it’s good to see ya,” topher replies fondly, wrapping his arms around the other and giving him a comforting squeeze, inhaling the familiar scent that drove toph nuts when they dated (and still does). “and you, my love, look handsome as ever,” the performer answers easily, slipping right back into his charming ways. (it was hard not to around his ex) “what have you been up to, miller?”

spotting topher in the crowd, it’s easy for vienna to make the decision to beeline in his direction. she’d been one of the few to arrive early, figuring that the earlier she showed up then the earlier she would be allowed to leave without being rude. tapping him on the shoulder, she’s grinning before he even turns around, excited to see a classmate she actually remembers. “ the one and only. ” with her grin only getting wider, she takes him in, her excitement radiating off of her. “ how’s my favorite broadway performer, ” she asked, a teasing smile easily replacing her grin. 

“vienna,” he grins, pulling her in for a swift and friendly embrace. “you look wonderful, vi.” a soft, rather embarrassed chuckle escapes him, and he runs a hand through his hair. “i’m doing...” topher searches for the right words. “just fine. been pretty busy, but it’s enjoyable work.” the man gives the brunette another smile. “and yourself, how have you been? it’s sure as hell been a while.”
