I wish the Tobey movies got the recognition they deserve for depicting Peter in poverty instead of it always going to Garfield for remembering to pick up eggs for Aunt May. What about Tobey trying to get a bouquet for MJ and he can only afford three, THREE lone flowers? What about Aunt May being in foreclosure and still trying to help Peter, who also barely scrapes his rent, with a TWENTY DOLLAR BILL, and she has to raise her voice to demand he take it. And you know what happens to that twenty dollars? After trying to sneak past his landlord like a kid tryna use the microwave at 3am, he gets it TAKEN RIGHT OUT HIS HAND and it’s established it’s only good for the week. Tobey was literally a sunday morning away from eviction. All I’m saying is we had a real working class Peter Parker and he went by the name of Tobey Maguire‼️
