This Is Social Privilege

Wanting to be invited but not wanting to go anywhere. 

Being lonely at home but not wanting anyone in your space unless you really like them.

I saw this tweet and it made me lol.

Introvert-Insight has experienced tremendous growth within the past year. With such growth, comes many changes, specifically in the branding of our blog. However, this process cannot be done alone; I want as much of your input as possible.

Above is a watermarked draft of the new icon and mascot for the blog. This, of course, is subject to change based on the feedback that we receive. It would be quite helpful if everyone could give their opinion on this design, including changes that could be added to improve it.

It looks like your “friend” has a fairly big misconception of these two words. Introverts and Extroverts are no more than social personalities, yet they can vastly define a person and how they act. For him/her to tell you that you need to change is a completely irrational thought, as it’s a near impossible task to do. You’re introverted, and no one can judge that. 

However, with all of this said, please do not treat the person with hostility. Instead, focus your efforts on educating them in hopes that they’ll understand what it means to be an introvert/extrovert; in hopes that they’ll realize their huge misconceptions.
