Have you ever been in a long distance relationship? Like 3 hour time difference say. If so do you have any tips and suggestions on how to get through it if it’s only for a few more months?
My fiancee and i did long distance! We were from LA to San Diego - which is about 2-3 hours depending on the time of day. we did long distance for about a year. around the time a year of long distance came we talked about moving in together - it was hard for us both living half lives in our different places while trying to grow our relationship.
So after a year I moved down to SD and we moved in together and it will be a two years in a few months.
Be patient with each other. You have to realize you have separate lives and you cant spend all the time on the phone/talking/worrying about the other.
Be fully present when you do have time together.
It is nice to have a light at the end of the tunnel - If things get serious and you want to be in a serious relationship with this human, I recommend talking about closing that gap to give yourself something to look forward to or else the distance can look really long and hard.
If you know its real and you love them, then the distance will look like an obstacle you can overcome together. If it's not meant to be, the distance WILL pull y'all apart.
A few months will feel like a small blip on the timeline of your relationship...you got this.
