Almost every woman will use some form of birth control in her life time – which is why we need to make sure that no matter where she works or goes to school, her birth control is covered without a copay.

The Supreme Court has announced it will hear another case challenging the birth control benefit, the latest twist in the challenges to the benefit following last year’s terrible Hobby Lobby decision. This time employers and schools want to block their employees and students from getting insurance coverage of birth control. Enough is enough. Women deserve insurance coverage of birth control, no matter where they work or go to school.

Birth control is undeniably awesome – it lets women decide when they’re ready to have a family and enjoy themselves in the meantime. It’s no wonder 99% of women will use it in their lifetime. Join us in saying #THXBirthControl 

The Supreme Court has taken a case that could leave only 10 clinics open for 5.4 million women of reproductive age in the state of Texas. Stand with the millions of Texas women who need the Supreme Court to once again affirm that we have the right to decide for ourselves whether or not to continue a pregnancy. #StopTheSham

In one year alone, it’s estimated the health care law’s birth control benefit saved women more than $1 billion dollars. That means fewer women are forced to choose between paying for necessities like rent or groceries and paying for health care. Every week Dr. Willie Parker travels hundreds of miles to ensure the women in Mississippi have access to abortion. This season of gratitude, we give thanks to him and all abortion providers for providing compassionate care to the women they serve, despite the miles they must travel and the threats of harm they face.

The day after a violent attack on an affiliate in Colorado, Planned Parenthood clinics across the country saw patients in need of reproductive health care. Why? Because at Planned Parenthood, the doors stay open – no matter what. Today, and always, we ‪#‎StandwithPP‬.

Currently, a cruel federal law – the Hyde Amendment – denies abortion coverage to women who qualify for Medicaid, specifically targeting women who are struggling to make ends meet. It’s time to ‪#‎BeBoldEndHyde‬ so that ALL women can get the reproductive health care they need.

Mansplaining: A man explaining something to a women in a condescending manner. The most recent person to suffer from this maneuver? Cecile Richards, the president of Planned Parenthood, as she was forced to explain (despite constant interruptions) some basic facts about women’s health and bodies in response to those patronizing remarks by Members of Congress this week. Thank you, Ms. Richards, for standing strong during this sham of a Congressional hearing!

The This Is Personal team was proud to be part of the coalition of organizations at the Capitol today to help deliver over 2.4 million petitions asking Congress to stand with plannedparenthood. Thanks to all of the members of our This Is Personal community who sent letters to their Congress members to let them know that we won’t back down when it comes to women’s health!
