Key when fasting: Remember sugar = carbs so drinking anything with calories or sugar will end your fast technically.

WHAT NOBODY TELLS YOU ABOUT FASTING
For gum chewers: Nobody tells you that you will expel a storm of wind out of nowhere or whenever you drink water.
Nobody tells you that your legs will feel like literal jello if you go past 24hrs.
Nobody tells you that after a certain point you’ll have a constant headache.
Nobody tells you that your stomach will growl loud enough for a whole room of people to hear.
Nobody tells you about the pain in your ribs.
Nobody tells you that you’re going to feel like you’re going vomit the lack of anything in your stomach.
But what we do tell you, is that you’ll get used to it.
What I have learned from Intermittent/Extended fasting groups
Pink Salt helps headaches and fatigue.
magnesium helps the chest and stomach pains
And potassium helps the dizziness and heart palpitations
If you constantly crave sweets you are potassium deficient.
A B-Complex vitamin is a life saver if you have a busier life style.
One a day- vitamins can help reduce hair loss and brittle nails.
Your body can only absorb about 1 cup of water every 15 minutes. If you constantly chug water you are just going to pee a lot and flush out lingering vitamins that can help keep you healthier longer. Plus you can still end up dehydrated because you will fill your stomach and ultimately absorb less water than if you just drink it casually throughout the day.
If you do strict water fasts, after about 30 hours your body enters “atophagy” which (long term) will help with loose skin and cellulite. It taps out around 60 hours though so doing 2-3 60 hour fasts a week will get you optimum results. Make sure to eat high fat, high protein/ low carb during the re-feed or you will regain what ever you lost. Gum, diet drinks, sugar, artificial sweetener and the like will stop atophagy. Water, bone broth, herbal/green tea and black coffee are the only safe things to consume during an atophagy fast.
Walking and short (10-20 minute) Hiit sessions during a fast is more effective for fat loss than long hard workouts.
Leafy greens (espically spinach, arugula, mustard greens and kale) are very high in calcium, iron, and fiber so eat a tonne especially if you are bulimic.
I have lost 120lbs with the help of my IF/EF groups on Facebook. I have learned so much from these people and my doctor is very pleased with my progress. I started out as dangerously obese and now I’m almost a healthy weight in only 2 years. I have spent countless hours researching nutrition and though I struggle with bulimia (deptression, anxiety and BED paired with obsessive tendencies mixed with diet addiction has lead me down a bad path) I have not had many health issues associated with the disease. I do have extremely sensitive teeth and I’m addicted to laxatives but I dont have thinning hair, skin problems, intestinal issues, brittle nails, my bone density is good and my muscle ratio is healthy.
I know we are all sick but if you can make smart choices you’ll be thin before you’ll be dead. I hope people see this and can at least supplement their bodies as you become your desired aestetic/weight.
Stay safe
i don’t promote ed behaviours or fasting but my words aren’t going to change anything so here’s how to stay safe
Please stay safe everyone ❤️
THIS IS THE BEST THING EVERRRRR :)
Avoid binge tip
Step onto the scale before you eat what you want to eat
See that number?
Is it your goal weight?
Is it even near your goal weight?
I don’t think so
So don’t eat
Stay strong

getting your protein (eating disorder style)
this post aims to educate on how much protein a person needs, why it’s important to have enough, what low-calorie foods to eat for protein, and a few simple recipes for each food.
the average person needs a minimum of .8 grams of protein per kg of weight (or .36 grams of protein per pound) so as not to have a protein deficiency.
a 45kg/100lb person needs at least 36 grams of protein per day
a 54.5kg/120lb person needs at least 43.2 grams of protein per day
a 63.5kg/140lb person needs at least 50.8 grams of protein per day
a 72.5kg/160lb person needs at least 58 grams of protein per day
a 81.5kg/180lb person needs at least 65.2 grams of protein per day
a 90.75kg/200lb person needs at least 72.6 grams of protein per day
a 113.3kg/250lb person needs at least 90.6 grams of protein per day
a 136kg/300lb person needs at least 108.8 grams of protein per day
signs of protein deficiency include:
Sluggish metabolism
Trouble losing weight
Low energy levels and fatigue
Poor concentration and trouble learning
Moodiness and mood swings
Muscle, bone and joint pain
Blood sugar changes that can lead to diabetes
Slow wound healing
Low immunity
and since the vast majority of people on here do not seem to be getting their protein (myself included), here are some high-protein, low-calorie foods (with a recipe to make it!)
VEGAN:
🥕 in 1 cup of unshelled soybeans, there is: 107 calories, 10 grams of protein, 8 grams of fiber, 13 milligrams of sodium, and 2 grams of fat to cook: boil until the soybean pods start to float, drain, then add salt (107 calories)
🥕 in 6 ounces of firm tofu, there is: 140 calories, 16 grams of protein, 0 grams of fiber, 0 grams of sodium, and 8 grams of fat to cook: slice into small cubes and stir-fry with spray-oil, soy sauce, and vegetables (broccoli and carrots work good and are both super low-cal! the whole meal is 200 calories if you use 1 cup of each vegetable)
VEGETARIAN:
🧀 in 4 egg whites, there is: 68 calories, 14 grams of protein, 0 grams of fiber, 219 milligrams of sodium, and 0 grams of fat to cook: preheat small pan with a little spray oil. separate the egg whites and yolks with your fingers, then discard the yolks (or use for someone else’s meal). cook the egg whites on medium heat until firm, scrambling occasionally. add salt and pepper to taste, and eat on 1 slice of bread (158 calories with a 90 calorie slice of whole wheat bread)
🧀 in 1 cup of skim milk, there is: 90 calories, 8 grams of protein, 0 grams of fiber, 130 milligrams of sodium, and 0 grams of fat to cook: eat with 1 cup of plain cheerios and 1 packet of sugar substitute for a 190 calorie breakfast!
🧀 in 5.3 ounces of low-fat greek yogurt, there is: 150 calories, 12 grams of protein, 0 grams of fiber, 60 milligrams of sodium, and 4.5 grams of fat to cook: put plain yogurt in a bowl with ½ cup of any berry and one packet of sugar substitute. stir and enjoy (200 calories or less)
CARNIVORE:
🍖 in 4 ounces of baked chicken breast (boneless and skinless), there is: 110 calories, 23 grams of protein, 0 grams of fiber, 180 milligrams of sodium, and 3 grams of fat to cook: preheat oven to 190C/375F. spray baking pan with spray oil. rub chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. put the chicken in the pan and cover with a piece of tin foil. bake for 40 minutes (110 calories)
🍖 in 3 ounces of yellowfin tuna canned in water, there is: 99 calories, 22 grams of protein, 0 grams of fiber, 288 milligrams of sodium, and 1 gram of fat to cook: drain can, then add low-fat greek yogurt, lemon juice, low-fat mayo, apples, pickle juice, or cucumber (there’s a million different things you can add, so experiment! 150 calories or less)
so there we go! make sure you’re eating enough goddamn protein, for faster weight loss, and a healthier body!
And to avoid Anemia!!
gonna have to have tofu later. remember to try to get as many macros as you can in!!
Please let’s also not forget the OG source of protein… Protein Powder!!! 20g of protein for 25g of the whey protein I use, only for 103 calories. For some people this is half of their recommended daily protein. There are many vegan proteins out there with similar calorie counts/macros.
Ladies, Gents, and Non-Conforming individuals: it’s time to no longer be afraid of protein powder!

I fucking hate rice cakes and here's why you should too!
I know they're the hype in the ed community, and ppl will hate me for saying it but ffs they are the worst
Did you know:
Gram for gram, rice cakes actually have MORE calories than bread (u just eat less of it, obv, since they're mostly air, still feels like being cheated)
Almost completely devoid of nutrients
Cause blood sugar spikes and crashes since they offer nothing but simple carbs
On top of the fact that they taste like shit don't even deny it
Now if u wanna live w/ painful rice cake infused suffering that is fine, but rly you should get rye crispbreads
Because:
They're high in fiber
So won't cause blood sugar crash
Provides B vitamins, iron, magnesium and zinc for us malnourished bitches
Good source of protein (burns more calories)
Actually somewhat filling
They're the same amount of calories as rice cakes (mine are actually lower!)
Crunchy and satisfying, no gross cardboard texture
U can do everything that u can do with rice cakes with them aka if ur me it's a low cal vessel for shoving avocado into ur mouth
The ones I get are CHEAPER than rice cakes
I get a cheap knockoff of the branded ryvita ones, any are good tbh
In conclusion:
i geniuenly like rice cakes :(

Curbing cravings/pre-binge urges
I know for me I have a period of the day that I want to binge like crazy from 2p.m. - 12a.m. It’s just constant cravings. Here’s a list on how to avoid cravings and how to avoid binging as well as burning some calories too.
🌻 Water. Learn to love it. It will solve your appetite issues like none else. If you feel the need to binge/eat, ask yourself: Have you had enough water today? I usually aim for 4 liters a day, but normally people should drink at least 2 liters a day. First, chug a glass of ice cold water and then sip on warmer/room temp water to keep you full. Your body will also burn calories warming the cold water, so that’s a plus. Feel free to garnish your water intake with lemon, lime, cucumber, and mint. All are great for you! 🌻 Identify your binge patterns. Try to find when you falter most. Remaining conscious about it the entire time duration is a big help in preventing snacking. 🌻 Count backwards from your current weight to your goal weight. For each number, list a reason you want to change yourself. By the time you finish, you’ll probably find your hunger has subsided. 🌻 Basically keep yourself occupied. (Listed below.) 🌻 Do a new exercise or yoga position. Work on perfecting that for at least 30 minutes. 🌻 Paint/do your nails. 🌻 Make a cup of tea, no sugar or dairy.(Peppermint/green tea help curb cravings.) Really savour the smell, the warmth. Take your time enjoying it. 🌻 Take a cold shower. Cold showers burn calories. 🌻 While you shower, shave, exfoliate, wash your face. The longer you’re in there, the more calories you burn. 🌻 Play with your pet. Take them on a walk. 🌻 Clean. Your room, the living room, bathroom, kitchen, anywhere. Really get in there and scrub. Cleaning burns calories. 🌻 Watch a new show on Netflix. For every episode, do 2x the episode number of sit ups and pushups to stay active. 🌻 Do an hour of silent meditation. I recommend earphones and a background soundtrack of Tibetan Singing Bowls. 🌻 Make art if that’s your thing. 🌻 Read 50 pages of a new book. Drink water/tea while doing so. 🌻 If it’s sunny where you are, sunbathe and listen to music or a podcast. I recommend Welcome to Night Vale. 🌻 Call your grandma. See how she has been. Give her your time. 🌻 Go for a drive. Bring a friend. 🌻 Still hungry? Chew on ice. It helps kill cravings by tricking your stomach. 🌻 Re-do your hair and makeup. 🌻 Take a nap. 🌻 Go online and watch lecture segments from the open courses Yale offers. 🌻 Plan your next 5 meals. 🌻 Plan your next fasting period. 🌻 Write/start a journal. 🌻 Look at thinspo, reblog it, save favorites, etc. 🌻 Make one of these lists. 🌻 Look at some nature scenery in your life (yard, horizon, favorite hiking spot) and take as long as you need to take the entire view in. Breathe in the air, capture the colors, remember the sounds. 🌻 Identify all of your problem areas. Record these. 🌻 Renew your goals.
These are just some that I practice daily. Feel free to add!! And good luck!
I wasn't skinny for 🎃Spooky day🎃
I'm not making the same mistake for 🎄cozy pjs and hot chocolate day🎄
