Leaders: the moment smart people realize that feedback is not welcome is the moment your leadership begins to lose its power. You must welcome the insights of smart minds around you if you want what you're doing to thrive. If you don't, brilliant people will not work with or for you and your leadership will never achieve lasting success.

Practice taking obedient steps forward when you can't control the outcome. These are the times when it's most difficult and also the times it has the greatest impact on who we are becoming.

Do you have a dream or something you want to see happen in your life? Invest some time in someone else's dream. Give your time, skills, and energy to someone else with the only expectation being to see them grow and succeed. Not only will you love what happens inside of you, you'll also attract like-minded people to your dream as well.

Attention to detail is often the difference between something that is just acceptable and something that is truly great.

Practice surrendering your point of view. The more we learn to surrender our viewpoint to God, the more we will experience His power in that area of our life.

There is a huge difference between going through storms and living in them. The former is life. The latter is a choice. We believe the stories we tell ourselves, but those around us can see where we are more accurately than we can most times.

My prayer is that they will come along, but the reality is that we can’t always wait for those who refuse to see.

When a great solution to a problem is presented but you reject it because you don't like the delivery method or the messenger, you've just discovered that your ego is more important than solving the problem. Then again, maybe not, because your ego probably won't allow that discovery...

Sometimes the best thing you can do is cheer them on, be there with their favorite drink or snack, pay them well, and get out of the way.

There is an important difference between saying that I don't have time for something and not being interested in it. If I am not interested, the time will mysteriously never present itself, regardless of how important it might be. I am still working on being honest with myself on this distinction.

Don't let people who have invested nothing in you discourage you. They haven't spent 5 seconds building your business, your dream. Keep doing your next right thing in pursuit of what you see in your heart. There will always be new haters, but there will also always be new believers who love what you're going to do next."
