"Okay, okay." Ricky starts, sitting on the floor with his knees tucked close and his eyes up on his boss. "So I was helping Manuel carry a few bags up to a room and well… I dropped a bag and it opened up." That’s when he goes wide-eyed. "There was a rather large hunting knife in there, sir. The guest looked very displeased and chased after me. That’s why I hid behind here."

"Well of course he felt that way," Basil says, dismissively, turning back to the typewriter. "I would be irritated, too. Do you expect me to do something about it?"

Ricky looks towards Mr. Fawlty and raises a brow. “Well… That depends, sir. It started as a personal endeavor and it may or may not need the authorities. Not sure.” 

Basil sighs. "Do you have anything important to say or are we going to continue on this happy road of vague statements? I do have work to do, a concept that apparently evades you."

Ricky keeps his attention on his boss and feels almost like a child sitting down here like this. Yikes, must be terrifying for actual children. He grunts when he’s kicked not paying much mind to it before he gets on his knees to peek over the counter. “You haven’t seen anybody go about here, ‘ave you Mr. Fawlty?”

"I've seen a lot of people that would be seen with someone like you," Basil says, with an expression of antipathy. "Should I be alerting the authorities or is this just another of your personal endeavors that take up my time?"
