What would the perfect day look like for you? This is what mine would like.
To begin my day, it would start the night before. I would go to bed early, around 9pm-930pm. The perfect night of sleep would include not having to get up to pee, my dogs not waking me up a single time, I am warm the whole night cuddled up next to my partner. I would sleep in until 7am, because I rarely ever get the chance to do that. When I wake up I would give myself about 10 minutes to actually wake up fully, in that 10 minutes I would stay off my phone and maybe chat with my partner for a bit or sit on the couch while the coffee brews. 10 minutes after waking up I would drink some caffeine and read whatever I am currently reading. I would read with my partner and we would read some lines back and forth from our books, chatting about what we are learning in our books. Once we had enough reading after about half an hour, my partner and I would take a morning walk. If this is the perfect day it would be a perfect Midwest spring morning where the morning air is perfect and its just warm enough that wearing a hoodie feels comfortable. We would take a walk down our driveway with our dogs talking about what we would do for the day. Once we get back home my partner and I would do yoga and journaling together, honoring our bodies and manifesting our dreams. My partner would go upstairs to work on their art while I stay downstairs to work on my own work. Around lunch time we would come back together and cook a healthy nutritious meal together, both of our favorite: broccoli, rice, tofu and peanut sauce. While lunch cooks we will work together to pick up the house, my partner doing the dishes and I would be doing laundry and vacuuming. We sit together to eat lunch and talk about what we are going to do after lunch, should we go to thrift stores? Maybe we could go grocery shopping. But today is meant to be the perfect day, which means... going for a bike ride. So silly, but honestly the best thing to do with my partner. We take our bikes around our little countryside, giggling about our future and gossiping about our neighbors. Finally, we would get home and relax in our hammock, eventually falling asleep in each other's arms. Weâd wake up the farmers of our land coming to work on the land. Getting up to plan our next move, what should we do for dinner? We never got around to grocery shopping so why not go out to eat, itâs the perfect day after all. We go to the best Mexican restaurant in town and we both order our favorites off the menu. The food would come quickly and hot made with just the right amount of love. I would fill up on gooey cheese and veggies, letting my partner take the last few bites off my hand. My partner would suggest getting a dessert, of course we would stop at the local ice-cream parlor. We would get our favorites and top it off with hot fudge, eating it outside on the patio watching the cars pass by talking about where everyone could be going. After dinner and ice-cream we would go home where weâd get comfortable on the couch and watch our current show. Later, I would crawl into bed and fall asleep with the day behind me, the memories burned into my brain. That is my perfect day.
