A lot of my vegetarian friends don’t get why I still eat meat even though I mostly eat vegetarian with just occasional meat when left to my own devices and at the end of the day it’s because I just don’t have the same moral issues involved with killing animals that they do.

Yes I love animals. I don’t love them because they’re cute and I feel bad for killing them though. I love them as part of the broader ecosystem. I respect them. Probably more than they respect me, because at the end of the day I know that a chicken wouldn’t hesitate to eat me if it had the means and I don’t see why I shouldn’t strike first.

I’m just not ashamed of being an omnivore. Yes this chicken was once an individual. Thank you chicken for your sacrifice. You were delicious and gave me some very necessary B vitamins.

Crested Caracara being allopreened by two Black Vultures! This is such an interesting behavior and one that's typically one-way (preening by vultures to caracara). Here you can see the caracara either attempting to reciprocate but getting rebuffed by both vultures, or telling them to stop for now.

Everyone jokes about Chuck Tingle actually being Chris Pine. I think this is incorrect.

While I don't actually want to know his real identity, because in my mind, his real identity IS CHUCK, I have assumed since Barbie came out that he is in fact Ryan Gosling.

I have little concrete evidence to back this up, and in fact, again, I do not want to know the truth. But this feels like a hilarious head canon I should mention at some point.

(I do have a list of real reasons based on things Doctor Tingle has said over time. But those are mine to marinade.)

'robin how do you always stay warm in the winter when you don't wear many warm clothes?' I eat a lot of food so that my body has energy to work with! to burn! I'm an endotherm. I produce heat. you do too. you will produce MORE heat if you have more fuel to burn. humans have INCREDIBLE fat storage adaptations. it's built in!!!! why wouldn't I take advantage of that??? I love swimming for hours and cycling in the winter and using my brain a lot and having energy left over at the end of a day. and so I eat food. so that I can do these things and have fun.

Ava Cordero was mocked, belittled, and denied by the media, her transness somehow overshadowing her status as a victim of assault. The media (Dareh Gregorian and Lucy Carne of the New York Post) specifically somehow spun it as Epstein being a victim of the case and treated her claims as an attempt to defame Epstein. Mind you, the journalists, Epstein’s lawyer (Gerald Lefcourt), and Epstein himself, were able to get away with this specifically because she was a transgender girl.

One of the first people to publicly accuse Jeffrey Epstein of abuse was a trans woman, Ava Cordero – she was mocked for it.
