          Despite the incredibly intense aggression we’re shown in Sera’s personal quest I don’t at all believe she’s ever violent for the sake of being violent. When she is physically aggressive she does it because she believes it’s warranted; That this person has earned and deserved their punishment. In the end, that’s all it is. An “eye for an eye” sense of justice that she, and other Red Jennies, dish out. Sometimes justice is beetles in their clothes, other times it’s a chest full of arrows.

          “Are staffs supposed to do that? The bzzz an’ whatnot? I feel like there’s the good sort of crrkk and the ‘oh holy shit balls Maker no please’ sort of bzzzzt.” But really, what does Sera know about staves and magic? Only enough to poorly mimic the sounds of magical discharge, it seemed. And to hit people with them. It didn’t stop her curious combination of assumptions and questioning though.

             “You play ‘em good, you do. Your people, I mean, the ones with more coin than they know what to do with. ” It had taken a while for Sera to notice it, ‘it’ being the way their Lady Ambassador could string the rich along with a smile and fluffy quill. The elf rarely had to look beyond glittering gold necklaces and ruffled butts to (correctly) assume when a person was just another snooty nob with their nose up the next, even frillier, arse. Josephine came with gold and wit. Sera could respect that.
