Anyway the entire shape world itself is called Paradise (based, of course, on JSaB)
It is the English translation, its actual name directly translates to "The Celestial Sanctum" (Me when I make up lore and pull synonyms off of google)
The main deity that oversees Paradise is Corro, their God of Life
Corro is a three-god fusion of Hearth, Agro, and Sye the gods of the Above, Below, and Under. (Wind, Soil, and Sea)
My ass cannot be bothered to digitally design them yet so stay tuned lmao
The story of Corro's presence on Paradise is that an unstable "Multi Monster" once infected and killed many on the land of Paradise, forcing Shapes underground.
Corro is rumored to have sensed this danger and descend to defeat it, splitting it into pure forms of energy referred to as Kors, or Kors of Light. (This is incorrect, and simply a story told to children. It is a bent version of events. I might tell you all the actual story, but it requires a LOT of typing).
Kors were kept separate in enclosures, but many escaped multiple times. Kors are desperate to populate in shapes by infecting them.
Upon figuring this out, Corro called for the help of willing shapes to trap a Kor in their body. This way, the Kor would be tricked into inhabiting a host and the shape would gain the power of the Kor's light.
Eventually, lineages of nobles are formed around the Kors that have hosts. These hosts are called Siths. (I came up with that in my head, and then I googled it and realized it was Star Wars, but it's staying)
Kors without hosts are contained in ancient habitats and monitored.
One of these Kors was the Kor of 'Pink'. Again, English Translation.
Another thing about Kors is that they are attracted to power. Power helps them spread and influence.
The Kor of Pink was able to escape one day and forcefully inhabit "Fresh", child of Corro. (Design pending because Im lazy asf).
Again, "Fresh" is an English translation they chose because it sounded better than the direct translation, "New Beginning".
This, of course, leads to the main events of JSaB and the Corruption event.
In my storyline, Fresh is not the one corrupting everyone, it is the Kor of Pink.
Now how the Kor of Pink is defeated...
This is Chip vv yay!!
Chip is an average square that lives on Paradise's "Mainland". Recently entering adulthood, them and their adoptive parent, Cube/Friend (I have yet to name them), are completing a task assigned by the High Council of the Mainland and traveling to scout the nearby Cavern systems.
For this journey, they are given a Crystal of Life (One of those little triangle things that follows you around)
The Cavern Systems house the Kor of Light, which has just escaped and infected Fresh.
(Ouughhh it's getting late I'm gonna summarize)
Main storyline of JSaB happens, Chip is separated from Cube. The other 3 players in game, which I have yet to give names, end up meeting with Chip in a large group of survivors.
This convo happens v
They mention a similar infection in the Continent of Saberton (Beat Saber) which I will talk about in different post.
but boiled down, it's the same plot-line as JSaB with minor tweaks to fit my overall story.

Extra Facts because I'm a nerd:
You can see them wearing more flowy or open clothes, this is because they breathe through their skin like amphibians!
Their hands and head are often disconnected from their humanoid body (which was gained due to an magical mutation due to Corro's presence)
These hands and head are actually magnetic to their specific body structure, which is how they stay on. It's a same concept with the "earrings" you can see them wearing.
Their actual shape is a crystalline exoskeleton formed by how different elements bond. (Can you tell I watched project hail mary)
They don't actually need their bodies, but only a few shapes can make them disappear.
Similar to humans, their head is their most sensitive and vulnerable area, that's why shape clothing also usually fashions hoodies.
