First of all, I don’t know about y’all but I like to see a little effort put into what I watch. If half the production decisions are based on what would be the easiest and the fastest thing to do then I don’t wanna watch it. I don’t mind a little more time and effort being put into what I consume. Patience is a virtue.

But also, I can’t help but notice a trend in these animation projects where people wanna use that card just…not being very racially diverse. And I can’t help but wonder, that maybe, just maybe, if we actually took the time to learn how to draw black hair and set the standard in animation to incorporate different body types, textures, and shapes into our works, that maybe some of these other designs wouldn’t be too difficult to animate all of a sudden. And that maybe the standard for indie animation (like a lot of things) is very limited due to systemic issues and we should pursue to work past those limits.

Mind you we’ve already seen this happen before with the SIMs sooo…
