as the weekly card suggested, self love finds us in this time of retrograde and increasing leo energy. while there are no additional leo ingresses this week (in fact, venus is leaving leo and entering virgo), it’s still deeply in the fabric of the moment. later this month, leo season will begin in parallel with the nodes entering leo/aquarius and this focus on self/identity will be truly inescapable. the yearning to create and share your authentic self with the world becomes irrepressible. it will hurt to avoid it. this is the time to be honest with yourself about who you are and what you wish to give the world, even if no one was watching. the overall vibe of this week’s transits = get real. we start this week with the tension of saturn and the sun checking you on “sense of duty” vs. “who you truly are and want to be seen as”. hard work is necessary, but dulling yourself down is not. neptune retrograde asks us to see things as they truly are, not as we wish they were. venus entering virgo also brings a dose of reality to our lives and relationships, especially as it immediately trines chiron. what do you ACTUALLY want, what comfortable patterns actually hurt, and perhaps honesty would actually heal you in your relationships. venus immediately crosses the south node as it enters virgo, insisting upon breaking these old patterns and seeing clearly what needs to be moved past. what served you then was helpful to your self-learning and evolution, but can no longer come with you. you can move gently and with care while still withdrawing yourself from where you don’t belong. lastly, we have a mercury cazimi in the middle of this already volatile mercury retrograde season. checkpoint back to may 14th of this year - what uncomfortable truths are coming to light? what is the gentle voice in the back of your head telling you? do not write yourself or your feelings off at this time - you are getting intuitive signals that you should listen to.
