It's always interesting to me when I see people who claim to be long-time practitioners saying things along the lines of "if you're not posting pictures or proof of your magical workings, you're not doing witchcraft."
Don't buy into that kind of talk. If you're practicing witchcraft and you like to take pictures and post them or document your workings that's fine, but it's also fine if you're a practitioner who prefers not to take pictures, not to post about active workings, not to publicly detail every (or any) bit of witchery and magic you're performing.
And let's not forget that some traditions discourage sharing too much of your work or practice, some traditions are closed and their practitioners might not feel comfortable publicly documenting details of their craft that they may feel need protecting, and some practitioners simply hold personal beliefs and preferences against publicly posting their active workings, workspaces, etc.
One's craft or practice is in no way determined by how much of it they're willing to share with the public. Do you, ignore that kind of noise, and never, I beg, feel as though you're not doing enough in your practice because you're not "posting proof" of that practice. You're no more or less of a witch depending on how many pictures you took or posts you made sharing your witchery with others.

The Gods brought today to you.
They see your struggles and triumphs.
They see the effort you put in, and the effort you avoid.
They see your your devotion, and your compliance.
They see your courage, and your worries.
They see everything, because they are with you.
They are everywhere, forever.

Unpopular opinion,
paganism isn't in books, you don't have to follow what some guy at some point said it should be like or you should do or what you should believe.
Not even ancient texts. The Gods are older than the human race, the Gods are older than some texts a random guy said is truth.
Your books are tree bark. Get outside. Your knowledge should be in the breeze, your beliefs in your soul.
You want to learn about a God or Goddess? About a spirit? Ask THEM.
Find your way, find your path, find YOURSELF.
No matter how old the text, no matter how old the myth or folktale, it's all human-made, it's what others thought and believed. Now what do YOU believe? What's your story?
You are completely capable of thinking for yourself and meeting the gods in your own unique way.
Finding out about different Gods and ancient traditions, sure. But your connection to those gods you won't find anywhere else than in your own practice and your own soul.

help disabled trans intersex person survive while escaping cult
hello everyone. i’m currently trapped in a cult. the situation has escalated to the point that i have no boundaries left anymore as i’m not allowed to sleep with my door closed anymore and on monday, without attempting to knock or wake me, my main abuser entered my room while i was sleeping to get the house cat from my bed when i had specifically and clearly set a boundary that they were not to do that. then multiple people in the house defended this action and mocked me when i tried to express my discomfort. i have proof of this if you would like but please dm me as i’d rather not post the screenshots publicly. i am living in constant survival mode currently so i am unable to provide commissions or anything in exchange for payment right now, but if you will trust me i am willing to provide art when i am safe, in exchange for money now. please ask for references!
my main needs are transportation so i can go to friends’ and family’s houses so i can feel safe for any amount of time while i try to find a place to go. i am willing to bus but i am a disability and snap (food stamps) beneficiary, and without snap i have to use all of my little disability money left after rent for food this month in addition to everything going on.
my paypal is [email protected]
my venmo is @foresthillcemetery
please dm me if you would like further information on my situation. thank you.

Is it just me that finds it weird that "folk magic" seems to have become a phrase synonymous with spicy Christianity/Catholicism? Also feels a lot like its becoming the opposite of decolonizing one's practice and is instead centralizing and normalizing said colonization within Pagan spaces
