Hi I was wondering if you could write a small thing about Eddie giving reader his moms old leather jacket when the power goes out in the winter. My mom just gave me hers and thats all I can think about.
I made this really fluffy. Like, it's all fluff. Basically, this is a fluff-only zone.
Warnings: language a lil bit, some suggestiveness

--
The air was thick with the prospect of rain as you pulled up to Eddie's trailer, and the downpour started no sooner than you walked through the door.
"Good thing we decided to stay home tonight, sweetheart," he says, planting a sloppy kiss on your lips. You feign disgust before giving him a wet kiss of your own.
"What movie did you get?" you ask.
He holds up the VHS and your heart leaps. Your beaming smile warms him.
"You're really gonna watch Pretty in Pink with me?" The movie had been checked out from Family Video ever since it hit the shelves, and you hadn't seen it since it was in theaters.
Eddie nods. "Told Harrington to put it aside the second someone returned a copy."
You fling your arms around his neck and hug him. "Have I told you that you're the best boyfriend ever?" You toy with the guitar pick around his neck and look into his eyes.
"Never hurts to hear it again," he laughs as he pulls you in for another kiss.
~
Twenty minutes into the movie, a flash of lightning illuminates the entire trailer. The lights flicker and the place rattles with the following clap of thunder.
You're snuggled up into Eddie's chest, the two of your curled up in a blanket. His arm is draped lazily over your shoulder as he chews on a peanut M&M. Your own fingers toy with the frayed hems of his ripped jeans. You're both so cozy that you barely notice the raging storm until the power goes out, leaving you in total darkness.
"Shit," Eddie mutters, but doesn't move from his spot. "This sucks."
You giggle. "Oh, yeah. Poor Eddie Munson, stuck inside with his girlfriend, and can't think of anything to do."
You don't have to see his face to know that he's wearing a cocky grin as he throws the blanket to the floor and climbs on top of you, peppering kisses all over your face.
"Eddie," you say, laughing as you gently push him off. "C'mon, Wayne will be home soon. Let's just find some flashlights."
You feel the icy chill of the cold January night once Eddie's body heat is off of you. Your teeth chatter as you carefully rummage through the kitchen drawers for a source of light.
"Babe, are you cold?" Eddie calls from his room. You hear the click of a flashlight turn on, and the small hallway is quickly illuminated.
"Um, kinda," you admit shyly. "It's okay, though. I can just wrap myself in the blanket."
"Absolutely not," he replies firmly. "Give me a sec. Been meaning to give this to you, anyway." He disappears back in his room and reemerges holding a worn leather jacket. You can tell by the cut and style that it's meant for a woman.
Eddie helps you into it, fixing the collar and smoothing it down. He takes a step back, keeping the light trained on your body. "Wow," he says, and you see tears brimming at his eyes, "you look beautiful."
You're flattered, albeit confused by his intense reaction. "Eds, is something wrong?" You hold his hand gently, stepping into him.
"Y-yeah," he clears his throat and looks into your eyes. "'S just...this was my mom's jacket."
You take a sharp breath in, your heart plunging. Eddie had talked about his mom a few times in the six months you'd been together, and you know he'd adored her. You regretted not knowing her when she was alive and gladly listened to Eddie's stories about her. Still, this was big.
"Wow," you echo him, at a loss for words. "Thank you for letting me wear it," you finally manage, hugging him tightly. The smell of his cologne wafts through the air.
"Sweetheart," he gently tilts your head, "I don't just want you to wear it...want you to keep it." He breaks the eye contact sheepishly, letting his gaze fall to the floor.
"A-are you sure?" you ask, then quickly clarify, "I mean, I love it and I'm so honored, but I'd never want to take something of hers unless you're really sure."
His response to that is a kiss so passionate and deep that you nearly fall over, legs turning to jelly as he holds your face in the hand without the flashlight.
"Does that answer your question?" he teases, running his thumb over your lower lip.
"Hmm, I don't know," you goad back, pressing your chest against his. "Might need a confirmation."
You think he's going to kiss you again, and he surprises you when he talks. "I've, uh..." he starts, combing his fingers through his curls, "I've been waiting to give that to the girl I love."
It feels like all of the oxygen leaves your body. You haven't yet told each other I love you; well, not until just now. You certainly felt it, though you've been too scared to say anything.
"You love me?" you ask, feeling a smile spread across your face.
"More than anything, sweetheart," he answers, and you know he means it. "You're the one for me."
"I love you, too," you breathe, and you're still smiling as you kiss him again.

Eddie Munson is a pain in your ass. An inescapable one at that. Every time you go out with any of your friends he’s there… because of course they’re his friends too. You can’t escape him at home either because your little brother, Dustin, is obsessed with him, always inviting him over to the house or talking about him when he’s not there. Part of you swears he comes over all the time just to piss you off. Honestly, if Eddie didn’t irritate you so much you would think his friendship with your brother is kind of endearing. But it’s not endearing because nothing involving Eddie Munson is endearing. You question why he even hangs out with the younger kids anyways. Playing fantasy games at that. Does he have nothing better to do? What you fail to understand is that Eddie is just having fun, playing games and acting childish because he couldn’t in his childhood. He grew up pretty quickly without his parents around, just his uncle who really did try his best despite the circumstances. Eddie doesn’t let fear hold him back from having fun. You can’t stand that.
On the other side of things, Eddie can’t seem to understand why you always have a stick up your ass about everything. You never have fun, you’re always in a foul mood (which most of the time he is causing). What he fails to see is that you spent most of your childhood being a parent. When your mother couldn’t be home because of work, you were the parent. Yours and Dustin’s dad was never involved with you. So that left the three of you. You have a hard time letting go of that, so most of the time you are the responsible one. The one that has a rule for everything. You just want what’s best for your little brother, and to make your mother’s life easier.
You don’t know when you started hating Eddie. Maybe hate is a strong word. All you know is that every time he’s around he has to make some sort of comment or do something to aggravate you. To be fair it goes both ways… whenever you hear he’s going to be around, you have your comments locked and loaded. You’re competitive and this feud, as some may call it, was no different. You have to be the winner. You don’t really know what winning means in this scenario, but as long as you’re the one coming out on top you’re just fine with that.
It’s Friday night, and Dustin has been ecstatic all day. Non-stop talking about how his friends are coming over to play DND. You love Mike, Lucas, and Will like your own brothers… but unfortunately ‘friends’ now entails Eddie Munson as well. So you’ve made the decision to get out of the house tonight and do something with your friends. Steve is picking you up so you can hang out with him, Robin, and Nancy at his place tonight.
‘Just Like Heaven’ by The Cure is playing through your stereo, and you sing along as you finish applying blue mascara to your lashes. After seeing it at the mall the other day, you just couldn’t resist buying it.
“Why won't you ever know that I'm in love with you, that I'm in love with you?” You sing along with the song. One of your new favourites.
Your bedroom door swings open abruptly, causing you to smear the mascara under your eye. Turning around, you see none other than Eddie Munson standing in the doorway with a devious look in his eyes. Great. You were hoping to get out of here before he showed up.
“Heard of knocking? I could have been naked.” You huff, rubbing at your eye to get the smudged mascara off.
“Oh don’t flatter yourself sweetheart.” He chuckles. “I just came in here to tell you that shit music you’re blasting in here is giving me a headache.” He smiles a shit disturbing little smile waiting for your comeback. But you don’t even have one, you just want to get out and enjoy your Friday evening. Work has been killing you recently and your brain is just too exhausted for this.
“Is that all?” You ask curtly.
Eddie is taken aback. No snippy comment? No insult about his taste in music? “Um, yeah…” He states dumbfounded before walking off. Eddie was hoping for a good spat. He doesn’t even have that much of an issue with the music. Not really his genre but your voice did sound nice singing the lyrics. Not that he would ever admit it. He wasn’t expecting to be dismissed like that. He doesn’t like this feeling at all and he fights the urge to run back into your room and make you say something mean to him.
Instead he saunters over to your front door, seeing Steve’s car pull into your driveway. He opens your front door, meeting Steve on the driveway with a smile.
“Harrington! What are you doing at the Henderson residence on this fine evening?” He greets.
“Hey Eddie, I’m just picking up y/n.”
“What?! She’s coming over tonight? Oh for fucks sake man I was supposed to come over later, after this campaign.” Eddie grumbles.
Steve laughs. “Dude, you have to get over this shit at some point. I mean really what is it with the two of you? Did she do something to you?”
Eddie just shrugs. “I really just can’t stand her.”
Steve rolls his eyes and looks at the door as he sees you making your way outside, Dustin following not far behind. Dustin’s eyes light up as he sees Eddie and Steve standing in the driveway. The two older boys greet him. You love that Dustin has someone like Steve to look up to. With your dad not being in the picture growing up, Dustin really only had you and your mother.
Steve greets you with a hug and takes your purse, placing it in his car. “Evening.” He finally says with a corny smile.
A smile automatically spreads on your face. Even in the shittiest moods, being with your friends can cheer you up. “Evening, Harrington.” You say, then turn to your little brother. “Be good kid, okay? Try not to make a mess just because mom is out tonight. And your friends are staying over so please make sure you set them up nicely with sleeping bags.”
He rolls his eyes, some sort of an ‘uuuggghhh’ sound leaving his mouth. “Ohmygod yes mom.” He groans sarcastically, making Eddie snicker. Ohhhh the things you would do if Dustin wasn’t standing there… but you won’t resort to violence… not in front of your little brother at least.
“Ah ah, tone Henderson.” Steve warns Dustin. “Be nice to your sister, she's cool.”
Eddie snorts. “Uh oh little Henderson. Better watch out or mom and dad over here might ground you.”
Steve rolls his eyes, trying not to show amusement and you just glare. Of course he would have to make a comment.
Dustin laughs at Eddie’s joke. “I know, I know. I swear those two should be married.” He snorts.
Eddie feels a weird burn in his chest after Dustin’s joke. Jealousy? No. No way. You and Steve aren’t even a thing, and even if you were, why would he care? He writes it off as your scowl wickedly burning a hole into him.
“Very funny Dustin.” You smirk. This must be the thousandth time he’s made that joke. You think that deep down he must genuinely believe you’re going to marry Steve. Not happening. You love Steve, but not like that. You know way too much about his romantic life. “Come here, give me a hug before I go.”
He pulls you in for a hug, sure you annoy him sometimes, you’re his big sister, but he’s a good kid and he genuinely does love and appreciate you. You give him a quick kiss on the top of his head before ruffling his hair. “Love ya kid, have a good night. I won’t be back until late.” You tell him. You always tell him you love him. Whenever you go anywhere. It’s a little habit you picked up back when Will disappeared.
Steve says goodbye to Eddie and Dustin. Eddie doesn’t really say anything to you. He doesn’t even look at you. Steve opens the passenger door for you and you get in. You watch as Dustin explains something passionately to the older boy and you can see Eddie’s entire face light up as they practically run to the house. Your stomach does a weird little flip seeing Eddie’s expression like that. You ignore it and blame it on the fact that you haven’t eaten since noon.
You snap out of your thoughts when Steve gets in the driver's seat. He shoots a nervous glance at you, which you immediately catch.
“Everything okay, Harrington?” You question, concerned.
He starts the car and begins driving to his house. “Mhm.” He hums. “It’s just um… well the girls didn’t want me to tell you and upset you but I’m not very good at keeping things from you. I know you thought tonight was going to be an Eddie free night but…” He trails off.
“Noooo. No no no Steve really?” You whine.
“I know I’m sorry but you know we feel bad not including him. He’s part of the group, he’s our friend. Nancy and Robin are just hoping that maybe… you guys could move past… hating each other?” He squeaks out.
“I don’t hate him, I just can’t stand him. He’s an asshole, he's always out to get me.”
“To be fair… it goes both ways.” Steve is always so levelheaded.
“Ugh Steve! You’re my friend, I just need you to justify my feelings, just for a minute, okay?” You huff.
“Okay yes sorry. I get it. I get what you mean. He does purposely try to piss you off.” He says, looking over at you to try and read your face.
“Thank you.” You sigh. You sit there for a couple minutes, thinking. “Look, I know it goes both ways. But something about him just really irks me.”
“I know.” Steve states as he pulls into his driveway. It’s a short ride to Steve’s but he always insists on picking you up, not letting you walk alone. With everything that has gone on in Hawkins in the past few years he doesn’t like you out walking by yourself. Even just to his house. “I just really hope you two could get along someday. I really think you guys would like each other if you just gave it a chance. You guys are actually quite similar. That’s why we all love you both, okay?” He speaks so smoothly, it calms you. He always knows how to do that. He’s been your best friend since childhood, he knows the ins and outs of your mind.
“Steve, I really appreciate you trying, I do. But I just don’t think I can ever be friends with Eddie.” You look over at him.
He sees your face and tries to lighten the mood. “Well I mean obviously he will never be your friend like I’m your friend.” He jokes, playfully rolling his eyes. “I mean because I’m sort of the best kind of friend you can have.”
You giggle at him, he smiles, having succeeded at bringing your mood up. “Oh of course Stevie no one could replace you.” You laugh.
“Hey don’t laugh! You better mean it!” He says, trying to stifle his own laugh.
“You know I do.” You say, truthfully before getting out of the car. Steve follows suit, and you both walk through his house to the backyard where you see Robin and Nancy seated on the lounge chairs. Well one lounge chair, really close together. You lean over to Steve, whispering in his ear “They seem awfully chummy recently don’t you think?”
“Yep. Have been ever since Nancy and Jonathan broke up.” He whispers back. You exchange a look, smirking at each other.
The girls greet you as you take a seat on the lounger beside theirs. It looks as if they’ve already gotten into the coolers and are super giggly. It’s really nice to see Nancy so carefree, you feel that she’s had nothing but stress for the past while and seeing her enjoying herself like this is new. You mentally thank Robin for bringing that out of her. Steve comes over to the group, two Budweisers in hand. He hands one to you, taking a seat on the ground by your feet.
He has some music playing on the stereo outside as the four of you sit and talk. You haven’t felt this relaxed and at ease in a long time. Heart full, feeling content around the people you love most. This tranquility lasts for a couple hours, until you hear an all too familiar van pull into Steve’s driveway. Lovely. It’s gotten dark out, but it doesn’t take a genius to know that the figure walking into the Harrington’s back yard is Eddie. Well, at least there was a solid couple of hours of peace.
Robin, who is now generously intoxicated, jumps up from her chair to give him a hug. You start to think that maybe if you’d had more than one beer you’d be excited too. Nah. Even with all the alcohol in the world he’d still be Eddie Munson. Besides, you’ve decided to only have one drink tonight since your mom is out and you’ll be the one responsible for all the kids. Steve has only had a couple, insisting on driving you home later. He offered you a place to sleep, and you’ve slept over a million times, but you promised your mom you’d keep an eye on the boys tonight.
“Jeez Buckley, don’t feel me up too much with Nancy sitting right over there. She might get jealous.” Eddie jokes. Ugh gross. Robin swats at him. Her and Nancy aren’t officially a thing and she gets really shy whenever anyone brings it up. Eddie just laughs in response and Steve chuckles under his breath. You look over to see the slightest blush spread across Nancy’s face. Okay that’s kind of sweet.
Robin makes her way back over to everyone, Eddie doing the same.
“Harrington!” Eddie exclaims, plopping himself right down beside Steve. “How’s everyone’s night going?” He asks. The girls fill him in and you stay silent, picking at your nail polish.
All four of them seem to get into some elaborate conversation. You’re barely listening to what everyone is saying, just watching the sky above you and humming along to whatever song comes on on the stereo. ‘Tainted Love’ by Soft Cell comes on and you can’t help but tap your feet on the chair to the rhythm. Steve turns around, his eyebrows shoot up and a little smirk plays across his face. He taps your leg and nods for you to get up, which you do, with a confused look on your face. He wraps his arms around your waist, picking you up and carrying you away from the chairs to a clearing on the patio, where he then places you down, grabs your hands and pulls you into him to start dancing. You giggle at his display of energy.
“Sorry, couldn’t resist. You’ve been so quiet ever since he showed up.” He says just loud enough so only you can hear. You roll your eyes playfully and start dancing with him. The two of you sing along to the song and the others just watch with smiles on their faces. Okay well the girls do. Eddie scowls.
“To make things right you need someone to hold you tight.” You both sing as Steve squeezes you against him, making you let out a sound that is some sort of cross between a shriek and a laugh. You end up leaning your head into his chest as he leads you both around the patio like it’s some sort of grand ballroom.
Eddie looks displeased. Extremely and utterly perturbed. Steve sees this and smirks. He knew it. He fucking knew it. He could see it in his eyes that Eddie liked you, even if Eddie didn’t know it yet. Steve winks at Eddie just to stir the pot, to which Eddie smirks back and stands from where he is sitting. Eddie walks over, a giant smile on his face the entire time.
“Mind if I cut in?” He asks with a tone that is simply too sweet to match his energy.
You back away from Steve assuming he’s just going to dance with him, and Eddie immediately grabs your waist, swaying you to the rhythm. Your heart is pounding, and you can’t tell if it’s from fear or from how his hands feel hot against your skin. You look at him with wide eyes and he almost laughs at how terrified you look. Steve goes back over to sit with Nancy and Robin, watching wearily. Eddie looks all too happy in this moment. Far too happy. In one swift motion, he lifts you by the hips, tossing you into the pool.
Cold water immediately surrounds you. You thrash your limbs, trying to kick back up to the surface. You hear some yelling that you can’t make out while still underwater. You break the surface gasping. You swim to the edge of the pool where Robin and Nancy help you as you get out. It’s early autumn, and the water is freezing cold. They immediately check on you making sure you’re okay. You assure them that you’re fine. You’re shivering but you can’t feel the cold, you’re too pissed off and adrenaline is coursing through your veins. You look over to see that Steve is talking to Eddie in a way that seems like a parent scolding a child.
“She could have been hurt, Eddie. Or worse!” Steve speaks, trying his best to stay calm.
“Look Steve, she used to be captain of the swim team, I think she can handle your pool.” Eddie tries brushing it off.
“It’s freezing cold Eddie!” Steve replies, frustrated.
“Shit. I’m sorry. Look, I didn't even think about that. I was fucking around I guess I took it too far.” Eddie admits.
Steve is surprised that he actually owns up to it. He’s taken aback and unsure of what to say. You walk up to the two boys, shivering and annoyed. You see something in Eddie’s eyes that almost looks like guilt. Steve immediately grabs you, rushing you inside to get you warmed up. The girls stay outside, seeing that Steve has the situation handled, and Eddie walks in after you guys, just lingering around the kitchen while Steve takes you upstairs to get dried off.
“He’s such a fucking asshole.” You murmur. Steve is digging through his drawers, finding you a pair of his track pants and a sweater.
“I gave him shit.” Steve breathes out, handing you the clothes as well as a towel.
“I know.” You reply quietly. “Thanks.”
Steve turns around for you to get changed. “I think he likes you.” He laughs.
You snort, thinking Steve is making some kind of joke, but you still feel your tummy do a little flip. “Yeah okay, Harrington.” You reply, pulling your soaking wet clothes off of your cold body. You wrap the towel around yourself and begin to dry your body off.
“No really. I saw it in his eyes when we were dancing.” He chuckles. “Pure jealousy.”
Your mind drifts momentarily to what a jealous Eddie looks like. It makes your heart beat a little faster and you don’t know why. You tug on the pants and sweater, touching the back of Steve’s arm to let him know you’re decent. He looks at you. “I think you’re just mistaking his usual hatred towards me for something else. He threw me into a freezing cold pool for fucks sake.” You laugh.
“Look, that was shitty and I’m in no way defending that. But I think Eddie has no idea how to act around someone he likes. Someone he thinks he hates.” He shrugs, gathering your wet clothes to put into the wash.
“It’s never happening Steve.” You laugh. He feigns grabbing something out of the air, clutching it and sticking it in his pocket. “What on earth are you doing?” You giggle.
“Oh just saving that for later. You know maybe I’ll bring it out for your wedding.” He jokes. You scrunch your nose in disgust and he laughs, a loud belly laugh. Okay maybe you’re not that disgusted. But you surely won’t admit that to yourself or Steve.
“Don’t get your hopes up. I can barely even tolerate him.” You say.
You follow Steve back downstairs, as he puts your clothes in the laundry room. You both walk back into the kitchen where you see Eddie sitting on the counter looking down at his hands. He looks up instantly and he looks oddly disheveled.
“Y/n can I talk to you for a minute?” He asks. There’s no usual harsh tone to his voice. No menacing tinge.
You look at Steve who is already sneakily slipping out of the back door, shooting his eyebrows up at you with a smirk only you can see. Your eyes shift back to Eddie’s, and you give him a small nod. He slides off the counter and walks over to stand in front of you.
“Look, I’m a real asshole for that.” He starts. You don’t respond. “I was fucking around. I wasn’t thinking. I just like to screw with you and I took it way too far.” He breathes out, like the words are hard to say. You nod your head slowly. The room is silent, and it’s awkward. So awkward that Eddie just blurts out “Anyways. Just wanted to say sorry.”
“Okay.” You nod. You both stand there, unsure of what to say or do next. “Well I’m going to go back outside and see if Steve can give me a ride home.” You state. You’re exhausted and just want to feel the warm comfort of your bed. You head towards the back door, but Eddie grabs your wrist, stopping you. You feel heat shoot up your entire arm from where his hand connects at your wrist.
“I can drive you. If that’s okay? I mean it saves Harrington the trip. I told Dustin I’d stay over with all the little nerds anyways.” He says in what he hopes comes out as a cool, calm tone. In reality his heart is hammering against his chest, fear of his offer being rejected.
You ponder it for a minute. For once he seems genuine. “Um. Okay. Thanks.” You mumble.
He hands you the keys to his van. “Here, go start the van and crank the heat. Try to get warmed up.” He says awkwardly. “I’ll let the rest of them know I’m giving you a ride home.”
You nod and walk out of the front door to his van.
Eddie walks out to the backyard, and as promised, let’s everyone know he’s driving you home.
He’s about to leave when Steve says “Don’t hurt her.”
Eddie scoffs at the assumption. “I’m obviously not going to hurt her. I may be a little bit of a prick to her sometimes but I’m not going to lay a fucking hand on her.”
“You know what I mean, Eddie.” He looks at him. Eddie knows exactly what he means, but he doesn’t want to admit his feelings towards you. “She’s my friend and one of the best people I know. I don’t want to have to put her back together if you hurt her.” Steve states seriously. Eddie nods. He knows exactly what Steve is saying. He knows that Steve knows, there is no point in denying it.
“I won’t.” He nods seriously. Eddie is rarely serious about anything.
Steve smiles to himself as Eddie walks out of the gate towards his van. The thing about Steve is he knows you better than you know yourself. He can see it in your eyes when you look at Eddie. He can hear it in your tone, the way you almost get too excited to talk about him, usually playing it off with an insult or complaint, but always finding a way to bring his name into the conversation. Steve is smart. Smarter than the rest of you give him credit for. And you and Eddie being two of his closest friends? He can read you both like an open book.
Eddie does a little jog to his van, hopping in and slamming the door behind him which makes you jump. You wonder why he has to do everything like a bull in a china shop. Deliberate avoidance of doing anything delicately. The heat is blasting in the van but you’re still chilled. Eddie sees this and aggressively shrugs his jacket off, urging you to slip it on.
You look at him wearily, god forbid anything happens to this jacket while you have it on…
He huffs “Just put it on. Please. Look, it's already warm from me wearing it, just put the thing on.” He says impatiently, feeling just a slight sting that you would rather freeze than wear a piece of his clothing… especially when you’re all dressed up in Steve’s.
You gingerly take the jacket and slip it on. He’s right it is warm, and you can’t help but to hug the jacket around yourself tighter, your eyes fluttering closed. Eddie watches this and fights a smile. He feels a warm pressure in his chest as he watches you. He blinks a few times, realizing he’s just sitting there looking at you like some sort of creep.
The drive back to your house is short. Eddie walks you to your room and stands in the doorway awkwardly rocking back and forth on his feet. “Um, do you like, need anything? Before I go plan the next campaign with the kiddos?” He asks nervously. You can hear them all at the other side of the house in Dustin’s room, yelling and laughing about something. This is a sound you’ve become accustomed to over the years.
You shake your head. “No- uh thanks though Eddie…” You trail off, not knowing how to react to a version of Eddie Munson that isn’t actively trying to get under your skin.
“Okay.. uh cool. Goodnight.” He rushes out the words before leaving your room, closing the door behind him.
Oh lord. There’s no way you’re getting sleep tonight. Too many thoughts and feelings are running through your mind. Foreign feelings. Feelings that every instinct in your body is trying to fight. You contemplate on calling Steve so he can rationalize your brain right now, but decide against it. He’s probably having fun, you don’t need to burden him with your inability to cope with your own feelings. Instead you pop a custom mix into your Walkman. Putting your headphones over your ears, you sit back into your bed, wrapping yourself up in your thick duvet. If you have to spend the night facing emotions that you have been putting on the back burner for ages, you may as well do it comfortably with some of your favourite songs playing in the background of your mind.
Hours pass by as you sit in your bed, feeling every lyric that you’re listening too. It’s strange to you, how every song can somehow fit your situation or emotions when they are this heightened. You can’t get Eddie out of your mind. His gentle touch as he handed you his jacket, the look in his eyes when he felt remorse. You’ve never seen him actually look at you with care in his eyes. Steve’s words continue to play in your mind. ‘I think he likes you.’ You try to brush it off. If he’s wrong it will just make you look pathetic. Catching feelings for someone that can’t stand your presence.
Your music has stopped playing at this point but the headphones remain on your head. You haven’t moved since he left your room. You are taken out of your thoughts when you hear a gentle knock. You look at the clock to see it’s now 3am and a small knot of worry builds in your stomach. Why would Dustin be up knocking on your door in the middle of the night? You start to worry something is wrong with one of the kids. You jump to your feet, quietly rushing over to the door. You open the door to see Eddie standing in front of you, fiddling with one of his rings.
“Oh- I thought you were Dustin, you really scared me for a minute.” You rush out in a whisper tone.
“Uh sorry, um no he’s fine. They’re all fine. I was just getting a glass of water and saw your light was still on.” He says, looking down at the ground. “I couldn’t sleep.”
You look at him. He looks nervous. “I couldn’t either.” You admit. “Come in here, I don’t want to wake them.” You whisper, pulling him into your room and shutting the door behind you.
You take a seat on your bed and Eddie awkwardly walks around your room, touching random items and inspecting them. He spots your Walkman laying on your bed.
“So um, whatcha listening to?” He asks, trying to break the uncomfortable silence.
“Some shit you wouldn’t like.” You say, a smile playing on your lips.
He laughs, nodding. “Yeah, yeah you would.” He looks at you from where he stands at the end of your bed. “Listen if we are ever going to be friends, you’re going to have to give my music a try.” He jokes.
Friends. Do you even want to be his friend? Every single thought you’ve been having about him tonight is far from thoughts you should have about a friend.
“Maybe I don’t want to be your friend.” You blurt out. Fuck that sounded stupid. Why did you say that?
“Ouch.” He says, clearly not understanding what you meant. “Sorry. If I uh- misread anything. Just thought we were getting somewhere tonight and-”
“No Eddie, shit I’m sorry I didn’t mean it like that it came out wrong-”
“No it’s uh cool, I’m gonna go though.” He says walking briskly towards your door.
“Eddie wait, fuck!” You call out standing up and putting yourself in front of the door. You look up at him and see hurt behind his eyes. “Eddie, I really didn’t mean it like that.” You say.
Your heart is pounding so hard you can feel it in your entire body. You’re suddenly aware of how close your bodies are, and your breathing picks up.
Eddie looks down and notices your breathing.
Oh, he thinks.
Oh.
“How did you mean it?” He asks. He wants to be sure you mean what he’s thinking.
You look at him with pleading eyes that say ‘Please don’t make me say it.’
His own breathing goes ragged. Eddie has a million feelings running through his system. At the forefront, lust.
“C-can I touch you?” He asks, his hand comes up and hovers beside your face.
You nod quickly.
“I’m going to need words.” He breathes.
“Please.” You say, barely above a whisper.
His hand immediately comes to the side of your face, cupping your cheek. You lean into his touch. Everywhere he touches is hot. His lips come to yours at an achingly slow pace. He places a soft kiss on your lips, before pulling back to gauge your reaction. He sees your lips try to chase his, and goes back in for another kiss. This is nothing like the first one. This is hot. This is intense. And fuck Eddie Munson’s mouth feels so good against yours. His hands find the back of your thighs and he taps them, signaling for you to jump. You do, and he catches both of your legs, wrapping them around his waist. He walks over the bed, carrying you by the thighs, and places you down gently. Your legs stay locked around his waist, not wanting to let go. His mouth leaves yours only to roam around your neck. He kisses up your throat, down by your collarbone, and finally up to that sweet spot just below your ear. You let out the most pent up whine and Eddie doesn’t think he’s ever heard something so pretty.
“There you are.” He smiles against your neck before returning his lips to that area, and nipping at it ever so gently. You unintentionally buck your hips up in an attempt to relieve some of the tension you feel between your legs.
He just laughs against your neck, sending a vibration through your whole body. You whine again, this time out of frustration. You want him to touch you… not just on your neck.
“What’s that, pretty girl?” He teases.
“Eddie please.” You whisper into his ear.
“Please what?” He asks, feigning innocence. “Oh? You want me to touch your pretty little pussy?” He teases some more, looking into your eyes. You feel so wound up you could almost cry.
You nod.
“Words.” He states.
“Please. Yes please Eddie I need you to touch me. I can’t take it anymore.” You whine.
He smirks, he loves watching you like this. This is better than he could have ever imagined. Better than he has imagined. Many times.
“Of course sweetheart, only because you’ve asked so nicely.” He says sweetly.
His hand leaves your hip to rub your cunt through the track pants you have on. Eddie’s hand immediately comes back up.
You groan in protest.
“Just one minute. Don’t be impatient, sweetheart.” He tuts. “First I’m taking Harringtons fucking clothes off of you.” He speaks in a low tone. A tone that makes your pussy clench around nothing.
His hands roam under the sweater you have on and he pulls it up over your head, discarding it behind him. Next, he hooks his fingers into the waistband of the track pants, tugging them down with force and discarding them just as aggressively. “Much better.” He mumbles. He leans back looking at your naked body. “Pretty, pretty girl.” He breathes out.
You look at him with pleading eyes. He pulls his shirt off, revealing tattoos that you didn’t even know he had. “Keep giving me those fuck me eyes and I’m gonna come in my pants like a twelve year old boy.” He warns.
You sit up and try to flip him over, but it’s no use, he’s much stronger. He grabs you by your shoulders, shoving you right back into the bed. “Such a needy girl.” He chuckles.
“Do you need me?” He asks.
You nod
“Tell me you need me.”
“I need you Eds.”
Eds. It throws him off his game only for a split second. He’s definitely coming back to that.
“How much do you need me?”
“So badly, please.”
“Yeah?” He coos.
“Yes Eddie please.”
“Of course, pretty girl, anything for you.” He smiles. His eyes are dark.
His hand comes down and makes contact with your bare cunt. “Jesus Christ. You’re so wet.” He groans. His fingers slide torturously slow up and down your slit. “All of this for me?”
You nod, a blush creeping across your cheeks. Eddie has never made you speechless before. Not like this. You never get nervous or shy around him. In fact, you normally feel at your most dominant when you’re around him, staying on top of your game. Now that his fingers are practically inside of you, you’re suddenly submissive and silent.
He slides two fingers into your wet pussy, causing you to let out a groan that even you yourself have not heard before. Eddie’s eyes light up and he feels his already hard dick twitch in his jeans. “Oh my pretty girl, if you’re this worked up and tight around my fingers, I don’t know how I’m ever going to fit inside you.” He moans lowly. He feels you clench around his fingers at his words. “You like that sweetheart? You like it when I talk to you all dirty?” He asks.
“Mhmm yes Eds.” You breathe out.
“Good girl. I like when you use your words.” He praises, his fingers picking up pace. His thumb finds your clit, drawing lazy circles around it and your hips writhe around, wanting more.
“Eddie?”
“Yes, pretty?”
“Can you please fuck me?” You ask in a tone so sweet he could get a stomach ache.
“Absolutely, sweet girl.” He smirks.
His hands fly to his belt, undoing the buckle with speed and tugging his jeans down with his boxers just as fast. Your eyes go wide and Eddie is quick to ask “What is it?”
“Bigger than I imagined.” You choke out.
“Oh so you’ve imagined it.” He smirks.
Yes. Of course. Not that you’ll admit it.
“Shut up, Munson.” You smile, playfully hitting his arms.
“I’m definitely coming back to that, you’re not off the hook.” He laughs, stroking himself in his hand. “Do you have a condom?”
You shake your head. “No. On the pill.”
“Oh pretty girl, you’re going to be the death of me.” He groans dramatically before leaning down to kiss you again.
His tip teases your entrance and you can barely sit still. He’s driving you absolutely crazy and he knows it. He breaks apart from your lips, his breath hot on your mouth. “Are you sure? Do you want this? I don’t need you hating me any more.” He asks wearily.
“Yes Eddie, I want this. I really do. And I don’t hate you.” You reply. The last part makes him smile.
His hand travels down to your hip to steady you, as the other guides his dick into your entrance. He sinks all the way in, bottoming out. A low guttural groan leaves your mouth and Eddie lets out a breath he didn’t even know he was holding in.
“Holy fuck you’re perfect.” He breathes out shakily.
He begins to slowly move in and out of you. You move your hips up, wanting more. Wanting faster. Wanting harder.
His hands stop your hips. “Stay still. You want more? Tell me.”
You still your hips, letting him move at his pace. “Yes Eddie. I want more. I want you to fuck me harder.”
“Good girl.” He praises. You clench around him hard. “Oh fuck baby, keep doing that and I won’t last long. You like being my good girl?”
You nod.
“That’s great. Because good girls always get what they want.” He groans. And then, just as you asked, he starts picking up his pace.
Eddie pounds into you, loving the pretty little whimpers that come out of your mouth. He looks down, watching himself fuck into you, and let’s out a deep moan. “Is this how you want it?” He asks.
“Harder.” You moan. “Please Eddie fuck me so hard I want to be your good girl and I want you to fuck my pussy so deep.” You whine.
“Fuck!” He yells out, your words driving him absolutely wild. He buries his cock inside of you, fucking you so hard that your eyes start to tear up. “Hey you okay? You still with me?” He checks in, not letting up his pace.
“Mmm so good Eds so- fuck! Sofuckinggood.” You cry out.
You can feel every ridge of his cock against your walls, his dick so far inside of you that you can feel it in your stomach. Eddie looks down, a whine leaving his lips.
“Oh fuck, pretty girl I can literally see my dick moving inside of you.” He moans out.
You look down and the sight nearly sends you over the edge.
“Eds I’m gonna come.” You choke out.
His hand comes down to press on your tummy, the other one is digging into your hip as and relentlessly pounds his cock into you. “Good. Come for me, pretty. Be a good girl and come for me. I want to feel that sweet little pussy come on my dick. Can you do that for me?”
You nod your head as you feel your climax start. “Eddie I’m coming I’m-” Eddie moves his hand up to your mouth to stifle the screams you let out.
“That’s it baby, you feel so good on my dick right now I’m gonna come so good in you pretty girl.” He groans.
You’re still riding out your high when you feel him shoot his hot load into your cunt. It sends you over the edge that you thought you already passed, your orgasm reaching another peak. His dick twitches as it continues to fuck his load further inside of you. Eddie hand lets up from your mouth to let you catch your breath, as both of his arms come to rest on either side of your head. His movements slow, and he collapses on top of you, his face buried in your neck and his hair tickling your nose.
He pulls out of you gently, laying beside you and pulling you into his chest. You both attempt to regulate your breathing.
You look up to see Eddie watching you. “I don’t know what took me so long to do that.” He admits.
“It’s ‘cause you’re scared of me.” You joke. Your nose scrunches up when you giggle and he finds it so adorable that he can’t help but to dip his face down to give you a kiss on the nose. It’s soft and endearing, a side of Eddie you’ve never seen before. It gives you butterflies.
“Haha.” He rolls his eyes. “So um… I guess we can’t really tell people we hate each other anymore.”
“Hmm, guess not.” You laugh.
You reach into your bedside table, pulling out a joint alongside your black lighter. Eddie observes you with wide eyes as you shuffle over to your bedroom door and stuff a towel into the crack where the door meets the floor below it. You walk back over to your bed, opening your window on the way, and bring the lighter to the joint that hangs from your lips. You look up to see Eddie watching you, slack jaw. You take a hit, proceeding to pass the joint to Eddie who just sits there as you hold it out for him.
“You gonna smoke this or not?” You laugh.
He nods, grabbing the joint from your hands.
“I didn’t know you um- where do you get this? Like do you get it out of town?” He asks, knowing he’s the only one selling weed in Hawkins.
“No, I get Steve to buy it for me.” You admit, a little flushed and embarrassed.
He chuckles. “So stubborn you couldn’t even come to me directly, huh?”
“Something like that.” You smirk.
When you finish the joint, you end up in his arms once again, his body flush against yours. If there’s one thing you’ve discovered tonight it’s that Eddie Munson is a very touchy feely guy, even more so when he’s stoned. The two of you stay there in a comfortable silence, Eddie kneading your thigh with his hand while also placing sweet kisses to your nose and cheeks.
“You know Munson, you’re kind of the opposite of who I thought you were.” You whisper.
“Oh yeah? How so?”
“You come off as very abrasive. Like you don’t care about anything or anyone. Reckless and not concerned with the outcomes of your actions.” You sigh looking at him. “I was wrong though. You’re a total softie.” You giggle.
His eyes crinkle as he too giggles “Shhh don’t tell anyone I have a reputation to uphold.” He jokes. “Well I was wrong too. You’re definitely not the uptight bitch I thought you were.” He puffs out a breath dramatically. “I mean yeah tight… so fucking tight…but not uptight.” He looks at you, eyes alive with mischief.
You swat at him playfully, trying not to laugh. “So dirty, Eddie Munson.”
“Oh you love it baby.” He smirks. “You’re the filthiest fucking girl I’ve ever met. Sopping wet and needy for a boy she supposedly can’t stand.” He chuckles. He pulls you into him further, you feel his chest vibrate as he continues to laugh.
“Eddie?”
“Mhmm.”
“I definitely don’t hate you.” You blush against his chest.
“I definitely don’t hate you too.”
It doesn’t take long for both of you to pass out wrapped up comfortably in each other.
You wake up to light peeking through your window and a pair of warm, tattooed arms wrapped around you. You groan at the light that is disrupting your sleep, rolling over to come face to face with Eddie. He looks so pretty, fast asleep with his bed head. So soft. Your fingers come up to touch his jaw, drawing a line down to his chin and up to his lips. A small blush hits his cheeks as your thumb traces along his lower lip. It’s soft, and slightly chapped. You nuzzle your head into his neck, drinking in his scent. Musky, hints of amber, with of course top notes of cigarettes and sex sweat. You almost fall back asleep when your stomach drops with a realization.
Oh shit. Shit shit shit.
The boys will be up soon, if they aren’t already. They’ll immediately wonder where Eddie went. Him not in the room, but his van still in the driveway. Your hand moves to his shoulder squeezing gently and shaking it. He grumbles some sort of nonsense, his nose scrunching up and lips pouting.
“Eds.” You say in an attempt to wake him up. He groans. “Eddie, you need to get up it’s morning.” He squeezes you tighter with a soft response of ‘so?’ that makes it too tempting to just sleep in his arms all day after your long night. “We fell asleep, you have to get back to Dustin’s room.” You whisper frantically.
He shoots upright in the bed. He not so gracefully clambers out from under your sheets, finding his clothes that were discarded throughout your room just hours ago. You watch him as he speedily tugs on all the clothing items. He’s about to run out of your room, until he turns around, running back over and placing a gentle kiss on your lips.
“Definitely don’t hate you, pretty girl.” He whispers, pulling away.
“Definitely don’t hate you too, Eddie Munson.” You smile back. He runs back over to the door, slipping out as quietly as possible.
You climb out of bed, no longer feeling the urge to sleep without his warm body wrapped around yours. You walk over to your dresser, finding a pair of sleep shorts and a ‘Duran Duran’ tee that has become a sleep shirt over the years. It’s early on a Saturday morning so there is no way you’re putting on actual clothes yet.
You throw your hair up with the scrunchie you have on your wrist as you make your way to the kitchen. If you’re going to be up, you may as well make yourself some coffee. You start the coffee maker and stick your head around the corner to listen down the hall towards Dustin’s room. You hear nothing but silence. Good. You’re in the clear. They’re all still asleep. You let out a sigh of relief, looking out the window to see Steve’s burgundy BMW pulling into the driveway. You shuffle over to the front door, opening it for him as he steps onto your porch.
“Hey Stevie, what brings you by this morning?” You smile.
He holds his hand up, which carries your clothes from last night. “Freshly washed and dried.” He smiles. “Thought I’d bring ‘em by before going to work.”
“Thank you.” You smile, grabbing your clothes from his outstretched arm. “When do you start?”
“About an hour or so.”
“Come in then, have a coffee with me.” You say, stepping to the side to let him in.
He smiles, walking into the house. You close the door behind him, placing the clean clothes on a chair nearby. Steve walks into your kitchen, pulling two mugs out from the cupboard and placing them on the counter. You pour coffee into each cup while Steve grabs the cream and sugar. He pours a splash of creamer into yours and his, proceeding to dump about three spoons of sugars into his coffee.
“That is a god awful amount of sugar, Steve.” You laugh, sitting at the kitchen table with your mug.
“I like what I like.” He shrugs, sitting beside you.
You take in the noticeable bags under Steve’s eyes, and how he can barely seem to keep them open.
“How was the rest of your night?” You ask, taking a drink of the hot liquid.
“I spent most of it babysitting the two girls and trying to get them to sleep.” He chuckles. “Robin is way too hungover to work, so I’m covering her today. Her and Nance are sleeping it off at my house.”
“You’re a sweetheart, Steve Harrington.” You laugh. Steve looks after all of his friends almost too much. Hell, the boy even did your laundry and brought it back over before heading out to work.
“I prefer the term hero.” He shrugs in a joking manner. “Little bit more manly.” He says, causing you both to laugh.
You’re interrupted by the sound of Dustin and his friends coming down the hall, probably in search of food. The four younger boys clamber into the kitchen, Eddie falling behind, pretending to look like he just woke up. You stifle a laugh. What a shit actor.
Steve watches your face as Eddie walks into the kitchen. He hides his knowing smile when he sees how your eyes light up watching Eddie. Steve glances down and sees a hickey just below your ear and he almost can’t contain his excitement. He cannot wait to bug the both of you about this.
“Morning boys, there’s toaster strudels, cereal, and Eggo’s. I’ll run out at lunch to grab you guys some burgers or something.” You speak. They all thank you, helping themselves to the food. They know the drill. Your home is their home. Has been for years.
Eddie grabs a cup of coffee, sitting down beside Steve. “Morning hunny, come by to see little ol’ me?” He chimes.
Steve laughs at Eddie’s giddy mood, knowing more than both of you believe. “Brought y/n’s clothes back. You know. The ones you soaked last night.” Steve smiles.
“Oh yes. The clothes I soaked last night.” He states, his eyes alight with all the jokes he can’t say in front of the kids. He looks at you. “My apologies again y/n, it wasn’t very kind of me to get you soaking wet like that.”
Your eyes are wide in shock. You look over to the younger boys, none of them heard him, too infatuated with making and eating their food. Except Mike who of course hears everything. He looks at the three of you confused, not understanding Eddie’s statement.
Steve is quick to clear it up. “Eddie threw y/n in my pool last night.” They all hear that one.
“Not cool man.” Lucas states while Dustin just laughs.
They all crowd around your small kitchen table, rambling about some sort of nerdy shit. Eddie, who would normally be actively engaged in this conversation, can’t seem to focus. His eyes keep flicking over to you, watching you. He notices you’ve finished your cup of coffee. He reaches out, grabbing your mug.
“Another cup, pretty girl?” He asks. Your eyes go wide and you’re frozen. Everyone heard him. Everyone.
Eddie is confused as conversation stops, the entire kitchen going silent. Slowly, it registers in his mind what he just called you in front of everyone. He leans back in his chair, slowly, unsure of what to do or say.
“Shit.” He states, realizing there’s no way out of this.
Steve just laughs, a laugh he’s been holding in since Eddie walked in the room.
“I knew it! I fucking called it. I told you all Eddie disappeared in the middle of the night and I told you just where he was too. You all owe me five bucks!” Mike shouts. They all laugh except for Dustin who just groans in disgust.
You look at Eddie who is giving you a sheepish smile. If you didn’t like him so much you’d be lunging over the table to punch him right now.
“Alright, alright everyone settle down.” Steve says, trying to subdue his own laughter. “Look at least they are getting along now.” He shrugs.
“Yeah, maybe a little too well.” Mike, the shit disturber, pipes in.
“Hey, a win is a win.” Steve shrugs.
Eddie has never been so silent and you see him going red as a tomato, assuming you look the exact same right now.
Dustin fixes his gaze on the two of you with a serious look. “Is this going to affect our campaigns?”
Eddie laughs like that’s the silliest question in the world.
“That’s your only question, Dustin?” You ask.
“Yes. It’s important.” He explains.
“Doesn’t change a thing in Hellfire, little Henderson. Inside those walls is a sacred place for members only.” He says in all seriousness to the boy.
You roll your eyes at both your brothers stupid question and Eddie’s stupid answer.
“Okay fine. That’s fine then. It might be nice to actually have you two getting along.” Dustin shrugs.
Ohmygod this conversation is making you want to cut your ears off Van Gogh style.
Steve looks at his watch, realizing he should be leaving for work. “I have to head out, be nice to your sister.” He points at Dustin.
Dustin salutes him and you follow Steve out to the driveway. Anything to get away from that room. You get out to his car to see that Eddie has also come outside to escape the kitchen.
Steve looks at the two of you. A smile on his face that reflects one of a proud parent. “It’s good to see you two getting along.” You roll your eyes and Eddie scoffs. “God you’re like the same person…” He mumbles. “I really do have to go. I am happy for you guys though. Remember you both have to be at my place by 8 tonight. Movie night. Please bring your newfound good attitudes.” He winks, causing you to smile.
“Yes Steve, we’ll see you later.” You smile, he pulls you in for a hug followed by Eddie.
“Oh and I’m gonna be that guy. Told ya so.” He says, and with that, he’s in his car and driving off to work.
You look at Eddie, whose eyes are soft and apologetic. He pulls you into his chest and your arms circle his waist. “Sorry for outing us there.” He chuckles shyly.
“It’s cool it was bound to happen.” You reply. “You know they’re all watching us through the window right now.” You mumble. His chest vibrates against your face with a laugh.
“Yeah? Then we should give them a show.” He states deviously before picking you up by the waist and licking your cheek, followed by a big dramatic kiss to the mouth.
“Oh god Eddie Munson, you’re insufferable.” You joke, laughing at him.
“Ohhh but you love it.” He quips.
You can’t deny, so instead you give him a peck on the cheek.
“I am soooo coming with you to get burgers later. You know the back of my van is pretty roomy.” He breathes into your ear, sending a shock right to your cunt.
“Keep saying shit like that and we’ll all be having burgers before noon.” You whisper before walking back inside.
