I have just launched my latest gaming pin project featuring those from the “Survival Horror” genre! 🔪

We were fully funded in the first 24 hours, but still have our stretch goals to aim for! 👻 Is your favorite spooky game here??

To give you an idea:

Things you can do by yourself immediately: Compost and grow plants (check out fast low-soil carbon sinks like azolla, which can be grown in buckets of water, and moss, which needs little light). remove invasive plants and plant native species to support wildlife. Plant perennial food crops (such as herbs, fruits, nut trees) NOW as it takes years for them to mature. May I interest you in some chestnuts? Practice kitchen gardening or support local growers- this is all so we can start shifting our food systems to be closer to home (70% of people on earth get produce from small farms, the US is unusual in that most of us do not), which will free up large scale agriculture fields to go back to prairies and woodlands, which will better store carbon and support biodiversity. Guerilla planting/gardening is great, there is a lot of ignored pockets of urban land...

Small group projects: Befriend your neighbors! Organize your workplace, unionize your apartment building (tenant unions), start a mutual aid distribution network, get your friends together to do SOMETHING. It does NOT need to be specially climate-focused. If you have put together a D&D group you can organize. These tiny groups can then band together to form larger networks, and those can connect together still into national or international projects. These can all then coordinate and help each other and be more powerful over all. Build local action groups NOW so when a crisis hits you already have a support system in place to act.

Large scale projects: Return power over the land to indigenous people, they know best how to manage local ecosystems. Redesign communities. Water management projects need done such as moving populations out of floodplains, building swales, uncovering blocked rivers, and re-establishing wetlands to control flooding and slow river erosion. Remove farmland and rebuild grasslands as carbon sinks. Shut down coal plants and switch to smaller more local green energy and energy storing methods like water-gravity storage. Implement government regulations, civilian conservation corps. Destroy capitalism.

All of this "what about the children!?" crap is classic reactionary bullshit going back decades and the reason you see so many lgbtq people pushing back against it (particularly those of us 30+) is because we know exactly where it's going.

Look at all the reactionaries and TERFs that have been leading this panic, you absolutely know that's the next target. They've been laying the groundwork that trans women are predatory and unsafe for children and that drag is inherently sexual.

To me, this is the same level as the conservatives that freaked out when a library in the Austin suburbs had a drag queen do weekly story time and would bring guns to "protect" the children and threatened to pull the funds of the library until they cancelled it.

We're all seen as inherently adult, as inherently unsafe for children. All of us. The L's, G's, B's, T's, Q's, A's, all of us. If we start this "but think of the children" then all of us are targets, soon Pride will be a bunch of cishet parents watching a bunch of rainbow colored Lockheed Martin, Bank of America, NYPD, and Absolut Vodka party floats.

Kink has been as much apart of our community and especially Pride from longer than all of us have been alive. That's the point of Pride, to be ourselves in our own space without reactionaries and social regressives forces.
