Other times its when the brain responds with "Oh yeah from this time to this time we were out with XYZ and doing this then we got home had a bath and worked on our homework until dinner" while completely leaving out that some real shit happened between the time you were out with XYZ and coming home.

Cept, much like anyone else asking the question to a friend, innately - due to the forth coming answer - you never really question or assume details were left out because yeah, that sounds like a consistent timeline that makes sense and seems complete.
