please believe it when someone says they adore your smile, your love handles, your crooked teeth, the scars on your skin or your nose. you don’t know how much beauty you truly radiate!!!! you don’t know how lovely and soft your hair looks or how adorable your eyes shine when you’re happy!!! you can’t see all the times you’ve looked magnificent and radiant because you’ve never truly experienced yourself from an outside perspective, you’ve never seen how lively you are when you’re happy, how gorgeous your laugh is, how good it is to be in your presence. there is something unique about you and your body - no matter how much of it you perceive to be “ugly” or “unworthy.”

i find it attractive and not at all clingy when someone texts me after hanging out. i guess the gesture means a lot to me because it makes me feel remembered and valued

Okay but according to my therapist there’s literally scientific reasoning for this. It depends on your circadian rhythm, but on average after 9pm your emotions are just more sensitive than during the day. You shouldn’t have conversations dealing with conflict after 9, you shouldn’t engage with potentially triggering content after 9, and you sure as hell shouldn’t trust your judgement. After 9pm just consider your brain done. Either do something to make yourself happy or go to sleep if you can

I cannot stress enough how important it is to speak up for yourself when someone is crossing your boundaries or dismissing your feelings. You are your biggest advocate. No one else can read your mind or feels what you feel.

You do not need to prove anything. You don't need to prove anything to anyone. You don't need to justify everything that you do. You don't need to justify who you are. You are allowed to be yourself, and do what you think is right...for you. Your true worth will never come from anybody else, it has to come from your heart.
