Obsessed with “great pacific garbage patch” by the narcissist cookbook
It has some justified hatred for it. Its song in about a person being a pessimistic shit in a partnership of some kind, and framing this pessimism and negative self talk as a great favor to the other person. That they’re saving them from all the work of thinking negatively.
This is a horrible situation not matter what. What I find fascinating is how a lot of people read it as an external experience. Where someone else, a romantic partner mostly, is saying all this shit to you and what you need to do is to walk away from them.
I however, view it as a survivorship voice. The voice in you head telling you how to survive. An internal experience that you can’t run away from. A voice you are morphed into when you’re depressed. When the pessimism just keeps getting reinforced.
To me, the voice gets better, you get better. You learn that the best way to do stuff is to just do it. Which is where the narrator for “GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE” comes from. For me this is the same voice from day to day, from moment to moment. I have to fight to not fall into “the great pacific garbage patch” to swim against the current. And on the other side I am “GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE” always thinking about the best course of action to be the most helpful. 
But some times. For beautiful brief moments I’m neither. I’m not worried. I’m happy. I believe everything is going to be fine. I’m simply better.
And “the great pacific garbage patch” *is* scared of this. You can hear it in “GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE” when they say “one day you won’t need me around so much anymore” they’re scared of not being needed. But they know that this is the goal. That protecting you is the goal and part of protecting you is them not being needed anymore. That means they’re succeeding.
TLDR the narrator from “GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE” and “the great specific garbage patch” are the voices in your head at different stages in recovery
