We are now roughly two thirds of the way through this FF2 Fire Emblem mod scenario script (~21 chapters written out of ~34; 104 pages, 29,000 words). I never realized just how many plot holes and inconsistencies or ambiguities there are in this basic story. How did Borghen get to the Snow Cave, when Josef's snowcraft is supposedly the only way to get there? If Sunfire is what powers airships, then Cid must have a supply of his own; so why don't we ask him for some Sunfire, or at least where to find some besides Kashuan Keep which is sealed? To enter the Mysidian Tower and obtain Ultima, the party have to break the seal with a crystal rod. To obtain a crystal rod, they had to obtain the two masks, placing the white mask (guarded under Castle Fynn) on the statue of the goddess in Mysidia and the black mask (hidden on a tropical island) on the doppelganger in Mysidia Cave. Only this does not make sense, when it is clear that there are multiple, possibly unlimited crystal rods. When the party is swallowed by Leviathan, the NPC's in Leviathan's stomach have crystal rods, and this was why Leviathan swallowed their ships. How did these people obtain crystal rods? For that matter, how did Minwu obtain a crystal rod? How did Minwu get past Leviathan? An NPC in Mysidia says Minwu passed through Mysidia, and they sent YOU to to the Mysidian Cave, so why did he not need the masks to get past the doppelganger? And stuff like that is why I am taking creative liberties.
