I keep seeing this super cute fish skirt, but because I'm too short I can't wear it 🤣 😅

Oooh my god I really think Caleb & MCs past is soooo much cuter with them as just very close childhood friends. 😔✊️

I get it. Some of the internal conflicts and script don't make sense in the English text when they take out all the brother sister stuff. But I live in my own world and can rewrite bits further to suit my preffered narrative. The sibling stuff really squicks me out ngl, but I still like Caleb a lot, so, I just delulu and write my own version for my MC lol.

Caleb's reservations and complex feelings can still work if he always put himself in a protective role as kids. And personally my MC is is ace and was not interested in romance as a kid and has never felt any kind of sexual attraction. So I like to imagine Caleb just assumed he was forever friend zoned and felt like he couldn't make a move bc he thought MC definitely didn't like him that way. Even though fr she did. She eventually becomes hopeless romantic in her teens, but also assumed Caleb doesn't like her back that way because he keeps keeping it friendly and doesn't seem to pick up what she's putting down.

And maybe later when their feelings grew strong MCs lack of sexual attraction to him cemented his misunderstanding that she didn't like him romantically either. (When in reality she doesn't like anyone sexually, and her weirdly overly friendly attitude to him was romantic, but he convinced himself it was not.)
