Hello! I just saw your post about podcast guests. I am interested about that, but I want to specify what you mean with discrimination. Do you mean being discriminated because of Hellenism or just in general? I have experience in both situations, but I just wanted to be sure.
Hi! This is a great question! At this time I’m looking for people who have faced discrimination from the Hellenic community.
In the future I’m sure I’ll do an episode about discrimination due to minority religion- however I feel the most pressing matter is ending discrimination by our religious community. Please check back in a couple months! When I’m ready to discuss discrimination for being pagan (likely this summer) I’ll post another call for guests!

Hello all! I’m working on lining up some podcast episodes and would like to interview some Hellenic polytheists who have faced discrimination in the pagan community.
This is intended to be an open space, you do not need to use your real name or even give one. If you’d prefer to write your story that’s okay too.
I am a white, cis woman in a straight passing relationship. I can only speak about my own experiences and would like to highlight experiences by BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and differently abled community.
Depending on need this will either be one or a series of episodes- with at least one episode with a panel on Xenia and the Xenia Declaration. If you are interested please dm me! Those of you who don’t fit this call or aren’t interested please feel free to reblog.

I apologize for not posting much- as many of you know 2020 has been quite the year for me.
One plus has been this: I’ve gotten to spend more time focusing on the theoi and myself. Being sick has forced me to slow down, reflect, learn. Something I’ve been tossing around for awhile is the idea of creating content and spaces to help grow and connect the community. While I tend to focus on Hellenismos- i also want to connect different paths. As we face continued separation and distancing, as we face new difficulties in our lives, I find this increasingly needed. Please abide by all rules and be kind. Trolls will be banned from all platforms. You do not need to be a hellenic polytheist to join these groups- all are welcome if you are kind and respectful!
Tonight I am launching a few different things:
1) A Patreon page that will host podcasts, discussions, blog posts, and other content. Much of this content will be free to access after a certain time frame. Patreons will get varying degrees of early release and special content. Content will vary from interviews, group discussions, education, opinions and more. As needs of the community change and grow I will do my best to do the same. The page can be found here
2) A Facebook page! This page is just that- a page- not a group. This page is open for everyone and will have links to content and probably memes! it can be found HERE
3) A Discord Server! This server is for both the patrons and community. Patrons will receive a special role and their own channels. You must agree and follow the rules! My goal is to create safe spaces to further the community! It can be found HERE

Personally, as an Asian person, I feel alienated from Paganism at large because of how much of it is based off of the culturally appropriated Wicca, and also a lot of the way that pagans understand oppression and identity is very white and privileged. The white victim complex is everywhere. It gets exhausting! No wonder there's so few racialized pagans.
This comes up in a few of my servers. I’m not going to say much to allow this voice to amplify. But fellow white pagans- we have to do better.

i really haven't been able to find any content for thanatos on tumblr recently. i don't know what happened that made it that so many fictional works now include characters called thanatos. i also don't think we're enough followers/worshippers to start another tag, like thanatosdeity. i don't know

I’ve kind of been slacking with my practice since lockdown started but prayer has always been my go to for worshipping. I pray at least once a day, something short but I try to write longer prayers every now and then. I try to give at least small offerings (coffee, some oil, water...) with my prayers but I haven’t been as good as I would have wanted to with that.
Music is always a great way for me to connect to Thanatos as well, I have a playlist of songs that remind me of him and I often sing along to a few of those songs before or after a prayer/offering so I can not only “be in the mood” for those prayers but also direct my thoughts to him more easily. I have recently started playing music and I hope that some day I can write my own melodies to go with the prayers I write to him.
Before lockdown I used to try to go to the cemetery every now and then as well to pray there and give offerings. I also wear jewellery that I have devoted to him every day.
I hope it helped you a little, I haven’t been really great at keeping up with my worship recently but hopefully it’ll come back soon.
