Oh no! You're suddenly allergic to horses! I guess that means you're kind of allergic to yourself? Better find something to alleviate your sneezing...
Thorns and Other Things | Open
" Angelica flowers. Have you heard of those?" The horse-man stepped inside to look around the selection, he found a lot of colorful flowers but the one in particular he was looking for was rather bland looking. " They go well with fish. I think they look a bit… puffy. "
"Puffy," she repeated. "A lot of flowers are… puffy, Dylas." She waved her finger at him, silently scolding him for not being specific enough. Wow, didn’t this horse know anything about flowers? Amber’s about to school this horse on flowers and puffiness.
"What color are Angelica flowers? What do they smell like?"
" Yeah, yeah." Dylas rolled his eyes at the comment. How should he know anything about flowers in the first place? Well he knew which ones to eat in the wild but that was about it. " They could be white or purple. But the ones that are best to cook are white. I haven't...smelt them before. In fact, I've never had any before."
Kiel quietly walked, sort of waddling a bit like a penguin to avoid falling or tripping on the blanket. He seemed content enough. He didn’t seem to notice where they were going-he was too caught up in the thought he might fall.
When Dylas said something, he looked up at him and then around. “Oh. Yeah.” He blinked and then laughed a bit. “Oops, right?” He grinned
" Yeah …oops. " Dylas responded with a bitter irritation to himself. How could he mess up at that? He placed his hands on his hips and was already heading off to the proper direction. " Well,… whatever. Let’s go. " Wandering off, he aparently just realized Kiel was having a bit of a hard time keeping up—waddling like a penguin and such. Dylas probably should had said it in a more politically correct term when he said this, "Keep up will ya? " Well excuse Dylas for handing the blonde a blanket in the first place.
Kiel stayed quiet as he followed behind, trying to keep a quick pace. Dylas’ tone unsettled him a bit, but he tried not to be put off by it. He pulled the blanket up enough so he wouldn’t trip and fall.
"Sorry!" The boy said quickly. He made an attempt at doing longer and faster strides. He made sure to watch his feet so he wouldn’t trip and fall. It would be embarrassing and he could only imagine the scolding he would receive from Dylas after that.
The lavender haired ex guardian came to a halt when he reached the destination. " This is defiantly the place this time. " He looked around to see the entrance of Dragon Lake right beside the hospital. "So uh, don't go around wearing clothes like that in the snow, alright? Also, make sure you ain't wearing that around your sister, because that wouldn't end so well. " Dylas wasn't particularly good at ending conversation, but he felt the need to not make a big ruckus for the knight to see her brother in lack of clothing. Leon probably would though. Sheesh.

This Can't Be Healthy || Doug & Dylas
Rubbing the bruise on his cheek, the ex-guardian peered over the water waiting for Doug to get back up to continue the fight. Dylas was in heat ready for more action even if it kills him. ” Is that all you got?! ” He shouted, calling out to the red head. A couple of minutes passed and then Dylas realized Doug wasn’t going to get back up to fight. Especially he noticed some blood arising on the water. ” Aw, Shit.”
It took less time than expected for Doug’s head to clear, and he was not happy with what he was presented with when it did.
The dwarf had been dazed by the hit; although he considered himself a pretty good fighter, he wasn’t used to such straightforward attacks, and hadn’t gotten a chance to dodge or get a better angle. His awareness was still lagging by the time he came to, but he would have to be really out of it not to register what was happening.
Instantly snapping to attention, he curled his legs up, placed his feet on the ex-guardian’s chest and viciously kicked him off. He was pissed, he was disgusted, he was going to tear the bastard’s lungs out. “What the fuck is wrong with you?” he shouted, scrambling backwards and getting to his feet. “First you wanna kill me, now you’re—” Doug spluttered, reaching for words that would express his absolute horror. Finding none, he reached down and grabbed a rock that happened to be by his feet and flung it as hard as he could at Dylas. Served the idiot right if it knocked him dead. “Fuck you, psycho! Keep away from me or else! Just take a hike and don’t fucking come near me, asshole!”
Turning around, the fuming dwarf began to stalk off in the opposite direction. This, he was sure, was it. This time he was really 110% done.
Upon the painful impact of Doug's legs pushing him off, Dylas was relieved to see the dwarf alive and kicking again. He didn't even want to argue, or explain-- although those words stung harder than a wasp. Dylas just sat there with his eyes wide open as the redhead shouted. Not really sure what to say or do with himself. When Doug threw the rock, it whammed him in the eye and Dylas didn't even flinch. He just took the pain as it came, with his eye swelling up immediately. Knowing wholeheartedly-- that was what he deserved. And if he was being more honest to himself, this prang in his chest pained him more than his injury. Covering one eye with his hand, the other eye watched the dwarf as he stormed off into the distance. "Why did I ever bother...?"
This Can't Be Healthy || Doug & Dylas
At first when the dwarf apologized, Dylas felt a bit touched, starting to think that maybe Doug wasn’t such a bad kid after all—No that was all a lie.
”You mutherfucker. “ Something in Dylas snapped, by instinct he was already snarling and breathing heavily as if he became a wild beast. He’s lost control while he sprinted to the dwarf and kneed him in the stomach. Doug definitely put up a fight right back at him. Being caught up in the moment, the beast was not thinking what he was doing as he punched him right in the face one more time and pushed him over the edge with such impact. Watching the dwarf fall into the water he kind of kept watching him.
“Fuck—”
Doug braced himself as Dylas charged, the pain of getting a knee to the gut causing him to double over. Without thinking, instinct drove him to swing a fist into the side of the other’s face, although he was mainly trying to disentangle himself from the scuffle. “Get the hell off—” he started to shout, before stars exploded in his brain and behind his eyes and he was sent staggering into the water.
Like a signal flickering off and on, Doug’s mind was failing to connect. He had a hard head, but that hit had struck him dead-on, and all of a sudden everything was fuzzy and dizzying and he was falling to his hands and knees in the water. Blood was pooling in the lower curve of his nostril and starting to leak down to his lips. He spat, trying to regain his bearings, but they had erupted and scattered like sparks from a firecracker and it seemed like more trouble than it was worth.

Her smile seemed to have a bit of an frightening aura around it. Looking back to the outdoors,he commented. ” Well yeah, it’s a pretty nice day at this time of the year.” Dylas faced the girl’s direction, eyes downcast on to her. He naturally looked terrifying himself, but that smile was too much for him. ” Actually I’m here to buy some flowers, I won’t take long. ” He felt to need to add. ” For cooking. “
"All flowers taste good!" Well, some were poisonous, but that was irrelevant. "Do you want a specific flavor or texture? Maybe I can help!" She stepped away from the door and Dylas and gathered fire flowers and pink cats in her hands. "Do you want spicy or juicy?" She continued to smile as she stared at Dylas. Amber hoped she would helpful to the horse-faced man.
" Angelica flowers. Have you heard of those?" The horse-man stepped inside to look around the selection, he found a lot of colorful flowers but the one in particular he was looking for was rather bland looking. " They go well with fish. I think they look a bit... puffy. "
Kiel was caught off guard by the new tone Dylas took on. It sounded…different. He was confused and in all honesty, slightly frightened. He tried to smile, but it seemed a bit forced. What was the ex-guardian doing?
"Um, okay. If you’re sure." He smiled. "Thank you!" He snuggled up into it a bit more. He did like the blanket. "I’ll make sure I don’t do anything to it, like get it dirty or anything." He promised.
" Okay. Good, " Not that I think you could dirty things anyway, little child. As the ex-guardian pretty much ushered the blonde that’s been wrapped up like a Rolli-pollie towards the general direction heading towards Kiel’s house. At least, so he thought. ”Shit.” He muttered to himself. Upon realizing that he’s passed the flower shop and the grocery store—Kiel’s house was the other way. It was as if he was heading back towards his own place, dammit. "You uh, live next to the blacksmith right?"

This could be a question regarding you and doug, but those are completely expected by now. I suppose a proper question would be this: Why do you think there's so much attention between you and doug?
Surprised that this wasn’t another of those ” Are you two dating kind of questions ” —Dylas took a deep breath before answering as honest as he could. It took him some time, he really had to think about that dwarven twat."… I guess we are just really loud? It probably doesn’t help that we can’t even say hello without the urge to punch each others face. Too much tension? "
Where do you keep your diary exactly? (Be honest please for RP reasons!) Would you care if someone ever got a hold of your diary and read it? (Would it be okay for someone to pick up your diary in RP?) What would you do if someone tried to use your diary against you?
"Mm? My diary? Don't have one." He snickered. " . . .Actually there's a book out on my desk, but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be stupid to pick it up. Not that you could find anything incriminating against me. . . . I think. " Dylas then proceeded to get up and check his diary again, making sure he didn't write anything that people could use against him.
You Only Had One Job, Horsebreath || @Dylas
"Come ooooooon, Dolly! You can’t try out Porco’s new dish if you just keep dragging your feet through the snow!" Pico’s voice echoed down the street, bouncing off every corner it could reach. The ghost girl was nearly dancing out of her own ephemeral boots, for goodness sakes.
Dolce rolled her eyes, tugging her plaid scarf closer to her face. “…….I’ll get there eventually, Pico… whether or not I drag my boots..” Holding onto her velvet top hat, Dolce made it through the door with a jagged trail of snow on the road. Knocking and allowing herself in, she nodded her greetings to Porcoline at the back awkwardly.
Sitting herself down, Dolce’s sour emotions sure weren’t in the mood to try out a new dish. Just a warm cup of tea was okay… Her eyes flashed dangerously at the waiter— Oh yes, Dylas, was it? Surely he wouldn’t mess up on this account. Relaxing a bit, she leaned back against her chair slowly as she took her order.
"…Hello there… I suppose," She never could keep up a conversation with the silver-blue-maned young man. If her eyes and ears judged correctly, this guy was as rowdy as his horse-half soul. Hm. That didn’t mean she couldn’t deal with him, but… it’d be so much easier not to deal with him all together.
"…I guess… I’ll be ordering a warm tea…" She murmured under her breath, looking him in the eyes once before looking away.
"And don’t forget Porco’s Special for this week!" Pico popped up right above Dylas, resting on his head for a moment before disappearing and flashing right next to Dolce once again.
Dylas honestly hated his job. It required him to be socially interactive with others. When Porcoline had given him the job, he hoped that it was only temporary or a joke. But hey, free room and board and this was the least he could do for the cook at the moment. Dylas never minded helping out in the kitchen, in fact he preferred to be in there learning how to make better dishes than to have visitors glare at his strange appearance. He tried to make himself look more like a waiter by wearing an simple uniform with an apron covering himself up. Still feeling ridiculous, he'd start his day. There was a morning rush he had to dealt with, mostly travelers who were visiting Selphia and the usual butler trio enjoying their meals. The blue haired one, Vishnal was it? Would always spew out some kind formal pleasantries and crap. Telling Dylas he should "smile more," and that maybe it'd make his job much "easier. " Dylas didn't want to deal with that bull crap, unless he really did look terrifying, did he? That would be bad for business. Finally things were slowing down in the restaurant that the ex guardian was ready to take a small break. Dylas pulled out a chair to sit in, then the doors opened. "Oh greaaat. " he muttered to himself, guess his break could wait. Upon seeing Dolce and her little ghost stalker, luckily Margaret wasn't around or else she'd be getting the creeps. Stoically walking towards the lady, he glared right back at her as her eyes were like daggers being thrown at him. What's her problem?" ....Welcome." He said with a monotonous voice, quirking his eyebrow. Holding a notepad with a pen in hand. When Dolce mentioned her request, he tried to keep himself professional. " Yes, Mam--" Then Pico popped out of nowhere, he let out a small look of shock. " GRRK. " Porcoline made a giggling voice out in the background, probably motioning to Dylas to keep himself together. Dylas took a deep breath before he might done something to that little apparition. Writing in his notepad, he responded to the little ghost that was right next to her precious "Dolly." "Yeah. One special coming up. " He walked off towards the kitchen, telling Porcoline " Another special, I'll take care of the tea. " Finally something that didn't require talking to people. The once guardian placed water in the pot on top of the stove and waited for it to boil. Porcoline offered to help Dylas with the tea for some reason. What? Did Porco think I can't even boil some water properly? I make tea for those butlers all the time and-- "Don't worry about it, I got this. " Porco chuckled at Dylas as he resumed cooking the weekly special. Grabbing some popular herbal tea bag mixes, honey, and sugarcubes to put on the tray, Dylas finally placed the boiling hot water into the serving pot. Walking back towards Dolce, he placed the tray onto the table gently as if he did not want to burn anything. " I wasn't sure what flavor of tea you wanted, so I had given you some choices in here. Be careful, it's hot." He looked at Pico. " Your meal shall be coming shortly. " he said quietly before adding. " Anything else?" He was so ready for his break.

Dylas was rather out of it to comprehend the situation. As he staggered along with Illuminata to the clinic, he could had sworn to hear her muttering under her breath about something-but it was too hard for him to make some sense out of it. Once they reached into the clinic, Jones was apparently there ( much to their demise) curious as to what was going on? The doctor laid Dylas down on a cot and started to talk to the ace detective flower shop owner. Dylas’s eyes closed as he tried his best to get the ringing out of his head.
When the pair got into the clinic, Illuminata could just feel her stomach drop. Jones was there. Jones was there and he wanted to know what had happened. He wanted to know what happened and she had no idea what to tell him. Shoot! While she and Jones helped Dylas down to the cot, she couldn’t keep from worrying her lip. She had to tell the doctor the truth, so he could help him, but… No, there was no “but”, she had to tell him. So, when Jones formally asked her what happened, she quietly retold what the events leading up to their arrival here, casually leaving out the part where she was going to place blame on someone else. She explained everything else though. Once she finished her tale, and Jones scolded her, Illuminata just watched him examine the ex-guardian. Even though he had informed her that whatever damage she caused shouldn’t be permanent, it didn’t calm her worries.
Once he was finished the examination, Illuminata kept an eye on Jones as he put a few drops of some kind of medicine in the other man’s injured ear. He explained how the drops wouldn’t completely fix Dylas, they’d just reduce the ringing and the pain it brought. She was told how right now he just needed to avoid more blows to the ears and extremely loud noises. Her relief was only kept at bay by the bill she was slapped with. But once the money issue was settled, the elf took a seat next to the cot Dylas was in. It wouldn’t feel right to just leave him here alone, especially since it was her fault.
After being examined by Dr. Jones, Dylas felt uneasy as he had him lay on his side placing drops in his ear. The ex guardian had to stay still for a few minutes before the medicine kicked in. But this was soothing the pain as the ringing slowly dulled out. Dylas noticed Illuminata was talking to the doctor about what was going on-- she did not need to stay, that was rather kind of her. "Huh." He muttered to himself as he closed his eyes for a moment. Dylas felt a bit frustrated to himself because he never knew he had a major weakness that was right out there in the open. Imagine the possibilities that potential enemies could do to him in a fight. This sucks. Moments later, he slowly opened his eyes to see the red-haired detective with a look on her face that he's pretty sure people of Selphia don't see quite often. She was usually... quite exuberant. He humored her. "Why are you looking like that? What, was this mystery a crime you couldn't solve?" Dylas let out a small genuine laugh.

Dylas flinched as Amber bumped in to him. He didn’t mean to glare, but that’s how his expression naturally came out. “Watch where you’re going.” he muttered. Dylas took notice that she was walking out of the shop. Was it closed? Obviously no one else was there to run it, he wondered why Amber was running out. Dylas came in there to buy some Angelica flowers to cook with some fish he caught, but seeing it’s not much of a pretty flower he was unsure if they carried it. Dropping the glare, Dylas finally asked. “Where are you going?”
Oh, she was caught. She would have to kill Dylas now and escape from the town. She would start a new life, a new name. Daphne sounded nice. It was nothing like her current name, Amber. She could smuggle herself aboard one of the airships and go wherever it goes. Perhaps it’ll land in a far, far away town that’s widely different from Selphia. She would make new friends and new emotional ties.
"Outside," she said. "It’s sunny!" Amber gave Dylas a smile. "Oh, but are you here for flowers or seeds?" While the sunlight was a sweet, sweet mistress she couldn’t possibly deny, Amber could afford to stick around and help Dylas on his adventure for whatever he wanted.
Her smile seemed to have a bit of an frightening aura around it. Looking back to the outdoors,he commented. " Well yeah, it's a pretty nice day at this time of the year." Dylas faced the girl's direction, eyes downcast on to her. He naturally looked terrifying himself, but that smile was too much for him. " Actually I'm here to buy some flowers, I won't take long. " He felt to need to add. " For cooking. "
