For the in universe explanation, she came out of the ground of the Luna Empire, yes, but nobody claimed that they made her. And she doesnt have features a regular celestial has (eg; limb regeneration) so shes a very ambiguous celestial

For the out of universe explanation, her actual "species" is a big point in the story, and I want to reveal stuff like that either through hints, the books, or lore asks/spoiler asks, or just a mix of all

Personality: She is blunt, strong willed, and independent. She will tell you things how they are, and will help you tough things out. She normally works solo, but help is occasionally appreciated from her.

Nova, the blacksmith and trainer of the Luna Empire. She has been there for quite a long time, so she knows her way around. But she didn’t start off there. Nova is a rageral, so she drifted in space for a while in her early stages if life. But she met someone, Omi. Omi was a Rageral and a Mestrel, and she traveled around alot. They quickly became friends after talking for a bit and Omi let Nova on her rock to travel the Cosmos with her. For a while they only had eachother, until Nova found the Luna Empire.Nova had to leave Omi, as she wanted to have a real home. Omi understood and they parted ways, and Nova went off to start a new life.

Unfortunately, as a rageral, Nova wasn't treated very well at the empire. Everyone thought she was weird and wanted the king at the time, Psyche, to kick her out. Psyche still kept her around nonetheless. Once she got into training, she met Dawn, the trainer and blacksmith. Nova looked up to them and wanted to help them. After getting decently far in her lessons, she was given the opportunity to be an apprentice. She accepted and started to learn how to make weapons along side Dawn. They soon formed a very close bond together. Since Dawn was also a rageral at one point, they could sympathize with Nova, shooing off anybody who wanted to pick a fight with her. Dawn was also one of the only celestials Nova trusted enough to talk about her feelings to. Even though the bullying didn't stop, Nova was much happier.
