The new film production of Fil Ieropoulos' was produced by FYTA in a co-production with Frenel. Working as Assistant Production Manager and Assistant Director, I took on both creative and organisational tasks to help realise the director's vision. The film is a poetic feature documentary influenced by works of Tim Lienhard, Evangelia Kranioti, Mykki Blanco, Eva Stefani, Christina Foivi to name a few, as previous work of Fil and FYTA also. The film aims to raise questions about 'What does it mean to do drag and queer performance in one conservative, patriarchal, national-patriotic, theocratic society; How drag exists politically within the history of LGBTQI movements in the age of normalising queer and the pinkwashing; What is the life of a drag/queer performer within a city ââthat has gone through a series of waves of austerity; and more.
