My roommate is actually moving out because she 'can't take it' because I sleep a lot. I take naps after my 8am class on Mon. Wed. and Fri. Yet she ignores any of my issues such as her leaving the window open in 40° windy weather because 'it's hot'

Roommate is too clean??
I have four roommates this year (we're renting an apartment) and there was a problem where one of them was too too messy. She never did dishes or chores etc etc we solved that problem by talking to her constantly about it and now that's fine.
Except now one of the other roommates is way way way too clean - in a hypocritical way too. She goes off on us for 'not cleaning her stuff properly' if we miss a spot (instead of saying, hey, you missed a spot, make sure you check next time), doesn't realize that we're living in a communal space, and hey, shit happens (she broke one of the other's glass once) but when something happens to something she brought? Nope, it's a volcano. It's like stepping on eggshells because there's only so much we can do when we do all we can to prevent something happening but it happens anyways.
Also this is more a pet peeve but this super-clean roommate needs to have everything ordered out - she can't make a judgement call on when the trash needs to be changed (we all do it when we see it's full).
It's weird. One roommate problem (mostly) solved and this one springs up. Luckily i'm decent at distinguishing what criticism to listen to and what is just the other person being unreasonable.
People who make it an objective to make a problem out small everyday things
The latest example: Apparently it makes my roommate mad that I take a shower in the evening (and of course, I’m apparently enough of an evil genius that I time my shower just before it’s they're about to go to the bathroom – nope, I just go at the last minute you’re allowed to make noise) and RUIN their evening. How? Well, they go to brush their teeth and their socks get wet. When I bemusedly offered “…just take them off?” I got huffing and slammed doors as my answer. (I thought it was reasonable suggestion since one of their arguments was "I'm going to bed" which... what am I doing then? But apparently not.)
It is so nice living with someone who acts like an adult.
Roomate Problem
I'm a freshman, and my roommate and I didn't know each other before September. Our residence room is pretty small (her bed is about 15 feet away from mine), and I never really thought about how bad of a problem it would be to live with her.
This term, her alarm has been going off at different times early in the morning (between 2am-5am) and it's been driving me crazy. It goes off maybe 6-7 times during the night.The worst part is that she doesn't really understand snooze vs. turning the alarm off, so if she thinks she turned it off, chances are she's snoozed it and it'll go off again 10 minutes later. I'm very open with music, I mean, to each their own, but it's getting hard for me to tolerate her and One Direction at 3am in the morning.
I had the option to switch roommates way back in September, but I felt it would be a slap in the face to her if I requested that. Looking back on it now, I feel like I should've taken that option.
I guess I'm a bit of a pushover, and I haven't said anything too much about her alarms, but I feel like any day now I'll snap and throw her phone out the window.

I know I should talk to him and tell him but I'm worried I'm going to come off as pyscho OCD neat freak roommate when I'm not, I just don't understand in WHAT UNIVERSE does he think dishes with bits of food still on them is clean.
-Don't worry about coming off as a neat freak, it sounds like he NEEDS a neat freak in his life. And that is SO unsanitary, you can just let him know that you don't want to get sick and you're worried about his health too. There are ways to raise a concern without it blowing up into an argument and ruining a relationship. Take a deep breath, tell him whats bothering you, and state what you would like to be different. And if he doesn't clean them after that... tell him to clean the fucking dishes.

clean dirty dishes
I got a roommate to help pay rent and everything is pretty much okay but I feel like when washing dishes HE HAS NO CONCEPT OF THE USE OF SOAP AND THE ACTION OF SCRUBBING. I know he uses the sponge b/c instead of leaving it in the clean little bowl it lives in by the faucet, he leaves it on the bottom of the sink wet and absorbing sink bacteria and germs bahhh. But I find "clean" dishes in the dish rack, for the most part rinsed BUT STILL WITH BITS OF FOOD CRUSTED ON. It's disgusting and I put them back in the sink as a hint that they're not clean and he still uses them as if they were. HES DRIVING ME NUTS.
oh the things i could say about my roomate. she constantly comments negatively on my appearance, doesn't care about animal testing, gay rights, the environment or overpopulation, is the most superficial person ive ever met, and is constantly sharing her shitty opinions with everyone who is around her. which is usually me. the worst part is that she thinks we are BFFs and wants to be around me and talk to me nonstop. save me from this hell!
Wow, the hard part is how do you tell her 'back off, we aren't friends' without it being awkward in the apartment... One suggestion is maybe comment (in a nice way) in response to her negative comments. If she tells you your outfit looks dumb, tell her you feel confident in that outfit and you would appreciate it if she was a little nicer. Lame and dorky, yes, but sometimes all people need is to be called out

Two college freshman, Jordan Bradley and Zak Crapo, had the brilliant idea to make an app called Sendasock. The idea is simple, when the mood strikes and you need to tell your roommate(s) that you need some alone time, you discretely send a virtual sock for a given amount of time to let them know DO NOT ENTER.
I checked out the app and it is SUPER easy and makes a lot of sense. It just made it to the app store last Sunday, so check it out and help their app spread like wild fire. It's an easy way to avoid the accidental walk-in-on-someone-having-sex.

I got a new roommate.
The other roommate moved out because I was being 'unsisterly' towards her. Not complaining, she was driving me crazy. Guess we will find out about new roommate after spring break!

Anything I do gets complained about, even when she does the EXACT same thing. She just looks for little things to get bitchy about.
