Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) | Broadway | 2025, December | MP4 (9.41 GB, 4K) | The Riddle's master Cast: Sam Tutty (Dougal), Phoenix Best (s/b Robin)

Notes: Excellent 4k capture of this delightful musical and of Phoenix's debut as Robin! Shot a mix of mediums, wides, and close-ups. Minor tilt from time to time, some shakiness (most of it from when laughing), and a few brief dropouts that never last more than a few seconds. Readjusting was kept to a minimum but still affects the picture occasionally, and there are moments of very brief focus issues due to lighting. The audience was incredibly enthusiastic, so slight volume warning for cheering after some of Phoenix's numbers and during bows. But I can't blame them, it truly was a magical night.

Notes: Good 4k capture of this phenomenal show. Shot in a mix of mediums, wides, and closeups, with some more wide shots to emphasize the ensemble nature of the piece. Slight to moderate shakiness throughout from shooting around heads, which are almost always in frame but generally don’t cause obstruction. Semi-frequent dropouts in the early part of act 1 due to usher and audience activity, and less frequent but still occasional dropouts throughout. Slight issues with tilt on occasion and minor issues with washout in wide shots. The couple next to me chatted for a good portion of Act 1 before quieting, apologies about that. Includes messily filmed and obstructed bows.

Notes: Good 4k capture of this fun show! Shot in a mix of mediums, wides, and closeups, with some more wide shots to emphasize the ensemble nature of the piece. Starts slightly after Lilli's entrance, with the first thirty seconds of video blacked out, and another blackout about 10 minutes in, when the audience was asked to stand up. Shot over the mezzanine ledge to the best of my ability, but it appears in most wide shots. Some shakiness from readjusting the frame every so often to ensure the ledge's presence was minimal, and actor's feet can be blocked off by it, but most mediums and closeups are not affected. I was sitting next to perhaps the loudest laugher in the entire world, apologies about that. Includes bows.

Notes: Great 4k capture of this production.  Shot between a railing on one side and a head on the other, so more zooms than mediums or wides, as there was obstruction at times.  Slight camera fog during the car chase sequence.  Occasionally turns into a fancam of whatever I felt like watching at the moment, which was usually Olivier Award Winner Tom Francis from Hit Musical & Juliet, Grace, or Hannah.  Shavey Brown was out; Brandon Lavar and Pierre Marais split his track.  Includes bows.
