Elvis in the Buckeye State
On July 10th 1975,ba capacity crowds of 22000 watched Elvis perform at the Cleveland Coliseum in Richfield, OH. This was the 3rd date of the July tour, with Elvis giving strong performances of Why Me Lord and T-R-O-U-B-L-E.
Elvis at June Juanico's house in Biloxi, MS. on July 9th 1956. This was the start of a 3 week holiday they took in Mississippi, during which in addition to Biloxi, Elvis and June spent time in Gulfport and Ocean Springs.

On July 9th 1975, Elvis played to a sell-put crowd of 10442 at the Tulman Civic Center in Terre Haute, IN. Taking the stage at 8.30pm Elvis stormed through an energetic 24 song set which included, T-R-O-U-B-L-E and The Wonder of You. The next stop on this tour would be Cleveland, OH.

On July 8th 1960 , Elvis took his new 16 foot speedboat out on McKellar Lake in Memphis. He had bought the powder blue boat for $2000 the previous day.

Elvis in OKC
On July 8th 1975,ba sell out audience of 15192 watched Elvis in action at the Myriad Convention Center in Oklahoma City, OK. This was the opening night of a 15 date tour. Next up was the Mulin Civic Center in Terre Haute, IN. the following night.
Elvis visiting 12 year old fan Ellen Mincey at St. Joseph's hospital in Memphis, July 5th 1956. Ellen and her mother were involved in a car accident the previous day, causing them to miss Elvis' show at Russwood Park that night. Elvis heard about the accident and visited her with a signed copy of his debut album and a giant teddy bear.

Elvis: The Last Farewell
Fifty years ago today - July 5th 1976 - Elvis made what would become his final Memphis performance. These photos capture some of the excitement of that night at the Mid-South Coliseum.

June 30th 1968 Elvis filmed the spectacular If I Can Dream finale for the comeback special.
June 29th 1968 - Elvis filmed both stand-up shows for the comeback special at MBC studios in Burbank, CA. Recorded at 6pm and 8pm Elvis delivered two raw and explosive performances.

June 28th 1968 - 58 years ago today, Elvis filmed the gospel medley for the comeback special. In addition to Elvis, it starred over 30 dancers and vocal group The Blossoms, with Darlene Love as the featured singer on the opening number, Sometimes I Feel Like A Motherless Child.
June 26th 1968 - After rehearsals on the set of the comeback special, Elvis threw a birthday party for Col. Parker, singing a parody of It Hurts Me which had been re-written by Chris Beard and Allan Blue to poke fun at Parker.
