when i was a kid i decided that killing people was bad therefore war was bad therefore the military was evil. and adults would tell me it's more nuanced than that and i would understand when i grew up. well i'm a grown up now and idk i still think that killing people is bad and war is bad and the military is evil

actually fucking disgusting that glasses cost any money like if you actually think about it for more than a few seconds it is so unconscionably inhumane. this goes for things like insulin and mobility aids and hearing aids too ofc but fuck man, fucking glasses? the thing you need to fucking see? its genuinely sickening and inhumanly evil that those cost ANYTHING.

Thankfully, I think it’s becoming a crime in some states to be this neglectful as a parent. As in the parents get charged if their kid commits a shooting

And honestly? They should be. The reality is most, if not all, of these teenage mass shooters would not have become mass shooters if they did not have the parents they had. Not that they would grow up to be well-adjusted adults necessarily BUT it takes a severe lack of supervision and a lack of intervention and a lack of basic gun safety and probably a certain level of radicalization and racial hatred within the family to allow your teenager to commit an act of white supremacist terrorism. These things are fully preventable simply from a logistical standpoint.

using violence to liberate people from sweatshops, unsafe mines, and grinding poverty isn't the same as using violence to impose those things on people. the idea that violence is morally repugnant regardless of context is a belief that every oppressor throughout history would love for the oppressed to hold
