procrastinating student and writer

Hey, name's Caitlyn. I'm a high school student who loves to writer during her free time. I mainly write whatever comes to mind - prompts, snippets, rants, and oc works.

Here's how I run my blog:

Very inconsistent posting schedule - I may post once and go months without posting (life gets hectic). You can find me scrolling through Tumblr (the little dot near my pfp means I'm online).

Ask box is always open. I will send out announcements for whenever it gets too full. Feel free to send me asks of any kind - writing requests, tips for improvement, compliments, or silly things. Note: I have the right to turn down asks that make me feel uncomfortable (personal questions/writing requests). Discriminatory/hateful/inappropriate asks will NOT be tolerated. These asks will either be addressed for their behavior or instantly deleted.

DMs are always open, but I cannot guarantee I will respond to them immediately.

Feel free to use my work as inspiration and tag me for proper credits (@theoverworkingwriter). Do NOT claim my work as your own.

Content warnings will be provided in my works. If you ignore them and continue to read further on, do not complain to me about my writing. I will not be responsible for your ignorant actions.

Look at my fucking retina bitch. Your writing is solely yours. Write whatever the hell you want. I don't give a fuck if it's "cringe", "weird", "sloppy", whatever the fuck you wanna say negative about it. Writing should focus on what you like, who cares if others hate it? BLOCK THEM, IGNORE THEM. Go write that "shitty, weird" fanfic. No one can stop you. AI can't write a majestic masterpiece that contains human soul and emotion. I want you to go to your computer, open your Google Doc, and write whatever comes to mind. Go write that silly lil' story, soldier.

Also small updates. One, I am writing more snippets + prompts (they might be posted randomly during work/school days). And 2, I am re-writing Snippet #1, since it's heavily rushed. Though, I cannot say when it will actually be sent to the blog.

One bed trope but Hero and Villain cannot share a bed

pulling the blanket off each other

invading other's space

kicking other's legs

mumbling in sleep

loud snoring

pushing each other off the bed

one falls off, the other laughing at them

one trying to escape/use the bathroom, other having a death grip on while dreaming/having a nightmare/annoyed

one has the whole bed to themselves, the other sleeping on the couch/floor/outside

trying to suffocate other with a pillow

one likes sleeping with teddy bear/pillow in their arms

both facing away from each other, not uttering a word

one's a nightowl who doomscrolls/reads/eats/etc, waking up the other

not letting their enemy get away sleep

dunking water onto the other while they're asleep

one being an early bird, being loud while other is still asleep

A/N: It's been a while since I made an actual snippet. Here's something while I finish up on some other projects. Note: I started crocheting, it's very fun..and time consuming. Enjoy! Cw: slight swearing, physical harassment (slightly), verbal harassment, mentions of murder, blood Word count: 604

Villain swings open the door violently, their legs shaking and their breath uneven as they stand in the doorway. Their form is covered in dried up blood as they prop themselves against a wall. While they take a moment to catch their breath, their mind drifts off about the past week. Recently, their boss has been overloading them with 2-3 missions at a time, back-to-back. It was exhausting. They've been on their feet constantly, barely have had time to eat...Gosh, when the last time they've slept?

An arm plops on top of Villain's head. They groan, already knowing who's behind them.

"How come you're not burning up?" Hero questions, confused at the sight of Villain hunched over, out of breath. They seemed overheated from the direct sunlight, but didn't shrivel up to ashes.

Alternatives if character doesn't have a partner

spend time with family, friends, or coworkers

Supervillain whumper who projects their pain to Villain whumpee. During fights with the heroes, Villain feels the air knocked out of their lungs as Supervillain is thrown into the concrete wall. The heroes are confused as Supervillain causally stands up, brushes themselves off, and show no signs of pain - unaware of their superpower.

Villain whumpee is soon covered in bruises, has at least a couple of broken bones, and has a high fever running. Despite all of this, they are given no medical assistance and are required to remain at base on Supervillain's orders. They can't have the heroes finding out their little secret.
