june days of productivity — 17/30

[ 17.06.26 // wednesday ]

this wednesday was surprisingly productive! i managed to stay focused and for the first time properly tracked how long i was studying (4h 18min) - really exciting !! ⋆˚࿔ at the same time, there was still enough time for me to enjoy my hobbies. it's sad that i didn't go outside today though..

today’s little steps:

ate 4 apricots, an apple and 2 bananas;

learnt 8 new words on the topic 책거리;

finished reading "from cubism and futurism to suprematism" by k. malevich;

took notes for §4. Innovative methods of teaching (such a long one but i did it !!);

journaled a bit;

drew a picture with acrylic markers;

read 36 pages of валсарб by helena pobyarzhina.

cleaned my room;

watered the plants.

i've largely had a productive week! some days i randomly get really exhausted and have to nap for hours to recover, though. i also feel a bit lost in my group meetings, like i am not making as much progress as people in my research group. i have a year but i hope i submit a really strong phd proposal. i'm struggling to find grounding with my pet project at the moment.

the only drawback to john green's TB advocacy is that when people discover i have an encyclopedic knowledge of tuberculosis history and drug development they ask if it's related. need a t-shirt that says "i was into TB before john green made it cool".

Been pretty quiet on here these past few days. Not doing a lot; struggling to get the bare minimum done. Still being consumed by The Pitt- I am Robby & he is me. I’ll finish the show once I’m done with studying for today. For now I’m glad that I managed to get at least something done…

Notes from My Desk #1 | 15/6/26

Hi and welcome to my studyblr! I'm Star, and I'm here to record various things in my life, not just the min-maxed academic progress etc.

I'm currently studying 7 courses in 5 subjects (chemistry, social studies, literature, mathematics and English) and I'll include a colour-coded Studies-section to describe my progress in my daily posts. I have 14 courses in total to complete before graduation, so I'm really looking forward to that!

I'm big into journaling, dancing, working out, reading, gaming, music, and languages, and I'm sure I could keep the list going. If you hang around you'll likely learn more.

These past few days I've been working on quite an extensive "bujo" / life tracking system makinf use of old graph notebooks, and I'm glad to say I'm almost on the finishing line with this big idea. It's been a fun way to start the summer, as well.

Highlights: ⭐️Almost finished with my trackers ⭐️Picked up Night-Gaunts after procrastinating reading and I'm hooked! ⭐️Went on a walk and did some ballet

💭 The early Summer nights pass before I even have a chance to notice.

Cramming for this Latin final— my last exam of the year. First year of undergraduate is nearly complete.

A strange and baffling year, but a good one all in all. I have much to be proud of and much to be ashamed of. I will do better next year. But I am glad of what has been done.
