why are we shaming people for watching a bootleg??? is this really what is important right now? yes, its illegal. yes, its somewhat disrespectful. but not everyone in the goddamn world can afford to actually go to new york and see the show live in all its glory. not even the non-broadway casts are afordable. I found tickets for Hamilton running in Chicago (a 2 hour drive from my home in Milwaukee, WI) with a separate cast and company starting at a MINIMUM of 779 american dollars. im not going to apologize for my inability to finance 1) a ticket to see the original broadway cast of hamilton live 2) a ticket to new york where it is being performed and 3) the time out of my busy life to do so. do not tell me im a terrible human being for wanting to experience the greatness of Lin-Manuel Miranda and the amazing actors performing it. do not try to dehumanize me for watching a goddamned bootleg that I didn’t film and am not distributing. I am going to watch the goddamn show and i am going to fucking enjoy it because I’m a goddamn history buff.

it’s only disrespectfull if you believe in capitalism. artists usually want their art appreciated. a time has come where a certain someone just wants more money.

Yep. Us artists, totally only run on appreciation. We don’t believe in capitalism so we don’t need money for things like bills… and rent… and to be able to eat. 

BROADWAY ISN’T THE ONLY WAY TO SEE A SHOW!!!! Okay I digress Hamilton right now is only there, but you should be willing to sit and wait for it to be off Broadway and see a local version which may suck, but at least you aren’t ripping off every person that put their time and skills in to the Broadway shows. Yes theater could be more accessible and affordable, but it’s not, so grow up and stop acting like the world should revolve around you.
