Have you ever looked at the filaments coming off the moonshade tree in the blackbody research lab on the moon, and think about the fact that the thing that Clervie and Peruere wanted to see in Snezhnaya was the aurora? And how those two things look quite similar?
Ok there are already two black rook pieces meaning the Geo gnosis must be a white rook and the Cryo gnosis kills a black pawn meaning it also must be white but all of the other pieces are counting for in the image meaning all of the other gnosis must be black why do you suppose that is? This also means the cryo gnosis must be the queen since we can see all other white pieces throughout the video and she move sideways so she can’t be a pawn
Well, Zhongli is the only one allied with her. Even if the others turn out to have been sympathetic, Zhongli's the only one who actually threw his lot in with the Tsaritsa via the contract. Everyone else's either involved some degree of hostage situation, or was no longer usable, in Fontaine's case.
I don't know enough about chess to really comment on the layout of the board at the end of the trailer, but the Tsaritsa having only Zhongli left on the board with her is pretty clever and very obviously symbolic.
But is it just to symbolize he's her only divine ally? Or is it that the other archons had theirs captured in the actual plot and Zhongli didn't? Or is the Shade of Life the one playing with it, since it looks like the other non-Cryo gnosis were being used as the black pieces. (Is Naberius playing as well or is it Rhinedottir acting on her own? They do only show the golden eye. Which seems to be the one associated with Rhinedottir but then why is Life the only shade that doesn't/didn't have golden eyes? Unless! It's a swapped eye situation like Baizhu and Changsheng... but that's vering fully into another theory)
And what do the knocked over pieces mean? Artistically sure, it could just be so the image is more dynamic to look at than just all of them in a line, and I can certainly see symbolically why Furina's might be knocked down. But then why is Venti's? What does that mean?
Not to mention the fact that Zhongli and Anastasya's are the only ones glowing. Again, is it purely artistic for the trailer itself? Or does the Tsaritsa perhaps also have the Geo Authority, while the other authorities are still with other entities leaving the gnosis inert? Something else entirely?
Or maybe I really am just reading way too much into this, and they're just reflective and sitting in better light on the board.

The Hydro Archon did all the work, split herself in half and tortured both parts for centuries before killing herself to give Neuvillette the Hydro Authority, meanwhile he seemed largely fine with hanging out with the Archon and humans, made no moves to harm Furina and get it back by force, and was in fact upset by the execution even knowing it was being done to return his powers and save Fontaine which he also wanted to do. And then he gives a chunk of it back to her afterwards.
Apep's out here like 'HAHA the WAR we RISE' meanwhile Neuvillette was sitting pretty as the unwitting passenger princess to the Hydro Archon's centuries-long plan of sacrifice and suffering to straight up shove the authority into his hands.

The NPC zooming around the ceiling on a book page in the Temple of Space's library might actually have the most insane backstory of anyone in the game, not gonna lie.
Her family lived in terror of literally everyone from every direction trying to kill them? Her entire village was skinned? And the war lord who did it left her alive to be his sex slave? And then one of the dragonlords took pity on her and gave their power, at which point she strangled the guy to death under water?
And then on top of all that she eventually got kidnapped by a space alien god and turned into a museum exhibit with a bunch of other random kidnapping victims from across time and space? Then said space god eventually ditched them in favor of a person trying to end the world and left her mentally ill servant in charge to torment them all?
This woman has never had a break in her life.

Your dvalin and venti art is so wonderful… you capture all his beautiful feathery bird butterfly stained glass window winged glory… i can’t stop looking at the art of venti holding little dvalin melting in his arms like a puppy with his wings all splayed out oh my heart…
